Better late than never, here comes the presentation of Olawale, the chair of SLUSS-DN and the last member of the SLUSS board🌸
Why did you choose to get involved in the union?
I chose to be involved in the union because it provides a platform where students can influence the university’s development work and contribute to the quality of higher education. It also serves as an avenue for fostering social interaction, collaboration, and a strong sense of community among students.
What do you want to work on during your senior year?
I am currently in the final phase of my doctoral education, where I have been working on research aimed at improving global nutrition by enhancing the nutritional and functional properties of wheat using alien, ancient, and heritage cereals.
Something you don’t want to miss at your union?
The social activities we normally organise during our semester meetings in SLUSS, as well as the PhD Getaway, an annual lunch-to-lunch event organised by the ASK/LTV PhD Student Council.
Favorite animal?
Eagle is my favourite animal because it symbolises strength, courage, freedom, and vision. Their majestic appearance and leadership qualities also make them one of the most fascinating animals in the world.
