Vi är en sektion inom IKSU som driver på seniornivå både ett damlag och ett herrlag. Vi har även ungdomsverksamhet för barn 7-14 år. Välkommen till IKSU rugby!

Sweden's most Northern rugby club! (Information in English below)

Redan 2008 började det spelas rugby i Umeå på allvar, då Umeå Rugby Club bildades. Sedan 2015 har denna lilla och engagerade klubb varit en del av Umeås största idrottsförening, IKSU. Vi är ett glatt gäng som välkomnar ALLA, oavsett erfarenhet, träningsvana, styrka eller storlek. Tid och plats för träningar varierar beroende på årstid så kontakta oss för att få de aktuella tiderna.

Rugby has been played in Umeå since the founding of Umeå Rugby Club in 2008. In 2015 the club joined Umeå's biggest sport association and became IKSU Rugby. We are a cheerful bunch that welcomes ALL new players, regardless of experience, fitness, or size. Training times vary depending on the time of year so contact us to find out what our current training times are. Årsmöte 2026 - IKSU rugby

On Monday the 23rd November at 18:30 IKSU rugby is inviting all members to attend the yearly meeting held in the Luxembourg hall at IKSU sport. 2026 was a year filled with great moments with many steps in the right direction but there is still work to be done. Here there will be an opportunity to review, plan and discuss the direction of the club going forward!

5. Selection of New board for 2027

Little throwback to last Saturdays contact training on the rugby pitch! Enjoying the last few opportunities on the grass.

Some Tuesday evening mixed ruggers with a few of our beginners from our latest beginners course joining in with some skills and game zones.

On a sad note we also said goodbye to long serving men’s team player Kohsuke who will be heading back to Japan after completing his PhD. You will be missed! Safe travels 🇯🇵

Next senior training is this Saturday 10:30-12:00 at the rugby pitch 🏉🏉

It’s almost game time! Here is the squad to do the business tomorrow at home.

Be sure to come on down and cheer the boys on as they face Uppsala RFC in the final round of the AllSvenskan. Kick off is 14:00 and there will be food and drinks for sale pitch side. See you there 🏉🏉

Last weekend Senior Ladies player Hanna Ingvarsson attended the National Camp in Enköping as they continue their preparations for an exciting match vs the French Navy on the 12th September. We’re all proud of you here at IKSU 🏉🏉

Only one more sleep until our men’s team meet Enköping RK at home for the first time ever! Last time out the boys had a tough result on the road so will now be looking for revenge 🏉🏉

Another long journey ahead for the lads but the excitement is building 🏉🏉
