Navann Share - Save the Elephants Handmade, hand-painted wooden earrings made of Finnish birch - all the sales profits are donated directly to organisations protecting the elephants.

In 2013 I was kissed by a baby elephant Navann - it was love at first sight! During the time I was volunteering for a conservation project in Thailand and got totally hooked on elephants as I learned more about them. After that I had the chance to even volunteer in Tanzania where I learned about the terrible situation elephants are faced with today, that is, ivory poaching. As a "doer" and a belie

ver I don't want to just stand by and wait for someone else to fix the problem, or worse, for elephants to go extinct. That is why I created Navann Share, a 100% charity based jewellery line. All the income from the sales will be donated to conservation projects both in Africa and Asia through well-known Charity organisations. Being a conscious consumer is an important part in protecting our planet, biodiversity and our natural resources. That is why the earrings are made of Finnish birch, a 100% renewable and biodegradable material. They are handmade and hand-painted by me. We are almost there with the Kickstarter campaign! 85% raised and I truly believe we can make it with your help! This photo was taken in Elephant national park in Chiang Mai, Thailand where I volunteered for three years ago. The park is a safe haven for elephants who have been forced to serve the tourists, perform in shows or have worked in lodging industry. In the ENP they can live like elephants are supposed to, happy, free and provided with fresh bananas and watermelons daily

Jag har nu efter tre dagar fått ihop 32% av pengarna på Kickstarter men det räcker ju inte, får jag inte hela summan får jag ingenting. Och får jag ingenting får inte elefanterna någonting heller. Så tipsa gärna era vänner, familj och även ovänner som ni vet är för djur, miljö och rättvisa! Jag tror att vi kan klara det!

En av organisationerna som jag gärna vill hjälpa är Save Elephant Foundation, som räddar elefanter från turismindustrin i Thailand. Det är också där lilla Navann bor, som alltså gett namnet till mitt projekt! Jag hoppas att så många som möjligt kan sprida budskapet, även viktigare än pengar är att fler människor förstår vad som händer bakom kulisserna när man åker på en elefantridning, tittar på elefantshower osv. Det är viktigt att förstå att elefanter inte är som hundar, de är vilda djur, och att dessa shower fås till genom tortyr och misshandel.
