Dear network,

Join us at the ADAN Roadshow event in Stockholm on Thursday, September 8.

ADAN is a sister network of the African diaspora in Germany with similar objectives as APN. APN Sweden is partnering with ADAN, Afrosvenskarnas Riksorganisation (ASR) and Bantaba to deliver their pan-EU Career Day 2022 event. A lead up event to that is the road show in Stockholm this coming Thursday, including a panel discussion featuring ADAN, APN and ASR. The event is hosted by Google Sweden.

The panel discussion is around the topic "Being Afro-diasporian in Sweden: Discussing the experiences and career opportunities"

You can register here: https://lnkd.in/dESUnQ4S

At the moment, the event is strictly in-person and there are limited seats upon registration (first come, first served).

See you on Thursday!

APN Mentorship Program - Class of 2022 now accepting applications!

As part of our commitment to the professional development of our members, we have opened applications into another program in our portfolio: the maiden edition of our mentorship program.

A large number of studies have shown that people with African backgrounds in Sweden find it especially difficult to get the jobs that they qualify for, and that mentoring is an effective way to break this unwanted situation. Through mentorship, you get better access to networks and knowledge of the Swedish labor market which in turn increases your chances of getting a qualified job.

If you are looking for professional guidance towards navigating the Swedish corporate sector to land your first or your next job, we encourage you to apply. We are accepting entries all through the month of June.

Go to https://africanprofessionals.se/mentorship/ to check out the mentorship page on our website and read more about the program, including criteria for qualification, timelines for the program as well as a link to the application form.

Please share with your network and especially potential candidates. We look forward to receiving your applications!
