Girls Advocacy for Justice SL – Kono Outreach at Kumora Mining Community
Girls Advocacy for Justice SL (Kono) successfully conducted an outreach and community engagement program in Kumora, one of the mining communities in Nimikoro Chiefdom, Kono District.
The purpose of the outreach was to introduce the organization's mission and objectives to the people of Kumora and strengthen community support in addressing critical issues affecting girls and children. The team emphasized the importance of working together to combat teenage pregnancy, early marriage, child abuse, gender-based violence, and other harmful practices that hinder the development and well-being of young people.
The outreach was led by the Coordinator of Girls Advocacy for Justice SL (Kono), Mr. Foday Mansaray, together with his team. During the engagement, they educated community members on the rights of children and the role everyone can play in creating a safe and supportive environment for girls to thrive.
Girls Advocacy for Justice SL remains committed to empowering communities through awareness, advocacy, and collaboration as we continue our mission to protect the rights and future of every girl and child in Kono District.

As we bid farewell to the month of June, Girls Advocacy for Justice SL – Kono extends warm wishes to you all for a peaceful, productive, and prosperous Happy New Month.
We are pleased to announce that payments have been successfully made to teachers from the ten schools participating in our program. However, Ansarul Islamic Secondary School, Yengema, was unable to receive payment because the required video footage was not submitted.
We take this opportunity to express our profound gratitude to our Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Esther Zainab Lamin Conde, for her exceptional leadership, unwavering commitment, and continued support of our mission. We also extend our sincere appreciation to all teachers and administrators who remain dedicated to promoting and protecting the rights and empowerment of the girl child. Your commitment continues to make a meaningful impact in our communities.

Girls Advocacy for Justice Sierra Leone (GAJ-SL) Continues School Outreach Tour in Kono District
Girls Advocacy for Justice Sierra Leone (GAJ-SL) has continued its outreach tour to various secondary schools across Kono District. During this phase of the tour, the team was warmly hosted by Bumpeh Agricultural Secondary School.
The Principal, teachers, and pupils gave a warm reception to the GAJ-SL team. Speaking during the engagement, the Lead Coordinator for GAJ-SL Kono, Foday Mansaray, explained the aims and objectives of the organization. He highlighted the organization's ongoing activities aimed at supporting and empowering girls in various secondary schools.
Mr. Mansaray emphasized that GAJ-SL is currently providing free Mathematics and English classes for girls and educating them on safeguarding measures to help protect their rights, well-being, and future opportunities. He encouraged the pupils to take advantage of these opportunities and remain committed to their education.
On behalf of the Chief Executive Officer, Esther Zainab Lamin, the team expressed sincere appreciation to the school administration, teachers, and pupils for their hospitality and the warm welcome extended to the organization.

Today, the Coordinator of Girls Advocacy for Justice Kono, Mr. Foday Mansaray, and the Assistant Coordinator, Mr. Umara Sankoh, paid a courtesy visit to the following schools on behalf of our CEO, Madam Esther Zainab:
