AIA IS LOOKING FOR CORRESPONDENTS

Are you passionate or simply curious about international affairs? The Assembly of International Affairs is extending its team and looking for correspondents to join the journey of realising some big plans!

As a correspondent you’ll be reporting on topics that you find interesting, from the region that you find interesting - whether it is about elections, environmental crises, unrest or new technology. Do you have a burning interest towards a certain part of the world, or an eye for international affairs that could merit the attention amongst us all? Or are you simply eager to join AIA? Don’t hesitate to sign up (no interview needed!), and we’ll get the show on the road!

INTERNATIONAL WEEK

International Week is back yet another year and we want YOU to be part of our amazing project
group!

Join us in creating an eye-opening week of inspiring guest lecturers and presentations on
international career and education opportunities, as well as exciting cultural events to discover
some of the many cultures represented at SSE. Similar to last year, the week will be rounded off
with a banquet, or as we all know it: the Battle of the Nations, where the regional societies of
SSE compete with each other in a series of, possibly, challenging tasks...

But first, we need our dream team.

The positions we seek to fill are the following:

Head of Communication x 2: are you responsible, good at networking and want to be in charge
of contacting sensational guest lecturers and wide-spread companies for inspiring lunch lectures
or perhaps phygital events? Then you might just be the perfect fit for this position!

Head of Events x 2: this is a position that requires attentiveness and creativity as well as good
problem solving and organizing skills. As the Head of Events, you are responsible for planning,
preparing and ensuring that all events run smoothly.

Head of Marketing: do you enjoy creating content online or are you perhaps an expert at
Photoshop? As the Head of Marketing, you are responsible for all design and marketing related
tasks such as snapping, editing and publishing pictures for our socials.

Head of Sponsorship x 2: are you sociable, consistent and a great negotiator? Great! Your role
as the Head of Sponsorship is to contact companies and convince them to offer us favourable
deals, contribute with material or support our project financially.

Do any of these descriptions apply to you? Well then, send us your application! The application
must clearly state which position(s) you are interested in along with a brief presentation of
yourself and a few sentences on why you want to be part of the International Week.

N.b. You may only apply for TWO positions. Applications close on Friday the 23rd of
October at midnight.

Take the chance to become a student mentor for unaccompanied or newly arrived immigrant minors and make a difference in their lives!

Mitt Livs Val is a mentorship programme arranged by SASSE that focuses on integrating young unaccompanied or newly arrived immigrant minors into the Swedish society and education system. You, as a mentor, will be paired up with one mentee who you will get to know deeper and help out during the fall.

Contributing to the betterment of society is something many people value greatly, which is why it is important for SASSE to establish channels for students who want to achieve societal change. Students who want to challenge prejudices and gain mentorship experience are able to do so through this project.

THE EXCHANGE COMMITTEE IS RECRUITING

It is time for a new semester which means… new exchange students! SSE has been welcoming students from its partner universities from all over the world for a long time and a part of welcoming them includes making SSE feel like home. The exchange committee therefore needs your help as a group leader to show a few of the exchange students around SSE, the SASSE corridors and the essential areas around the school. As a host, you will be helping the committee during the welcome banquet that is taking place on the 2nd of September.

If this sounds like something you would like to contribute to and spend a little of your time on, then please write a motivation describing why you would be a good mentor and why this project is intriguing to you. Remember that there are no interviews, just your motivation that counts!
