🌍 DI-LOK 2026 | Days of Culture and Diaspora – Doboj Istok

We are proud to have been part of DI-LOK 2026, bringing together diaspora representatives, local communities, institutions, and participants from different parts of the world. Through cultural exchange, dialogue, and networking, the event created an inspiring space to strengthen connections between the diaspora and their homeland while opening new opportunities for future cooperation. 🤝

We are proud to share the successful completion of the Repatriation Without Borders: Diaspora Seniors and Society conference, which brought together representatives of Bosnian institutions, senior care homes from across Bosnia and Herzegovina, CLDD International, and other key stakeholders. The conference created an important space for dialogue on the needs of diaspora seniors who are considering returning to their home country, with a particular focus on available services, quality of care, and how institutions can better respond to their expectations and needs.

The discussions marked another important step toward long-term cooperation aimed at improving and modernizing services for diaspora seniors in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Building on the connections and ideas developed during the conference, visits to senior care homes are planned throughout August to assess their current capacities and potential, identify areas for improvement, and determine the activities needed for further modernization. Through continued cooperation, we aim to create higher-quality, more accessible, and more responsive services for seniors. 🤝

A very successful conference, but even more importantly, the beginning of concrete next steps and continued collaboration.

The activity is funded by Migrationsverket Sverige (Swedish Migration Agency), while the conference was carried out in cooperation with . We are grateful for their support and collaboration in making this important initiative possible.

We are excited to announce a new partnership established during DI-LOK 2026! An official Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between CLDD, the Municipality of Doboj Istok, the Lipe Youth Center Omladinski Kulturni Centar "Lipe" Doboj Istok, and the Association of Pensioners, marking an important step toward stronger local cooperation.

This partnership will create new opportunities for intergenerational dialogue, knowledge exchange, community initiatives, and sustainable local development. We look forward to turning this agreement into meaningful actions and lasting connections! 🤝🌍

Today, we joined DI–LOK Diaspora 2026 in Doboj, connecting with diaspora representatives, civil society, and local communities. 🌍

Youth Association “Lipe” also presented a Golden Appreciation Award to our General Secretary, Emina Krzović Butler, recognizing her contribution and engagement with the diaspora.

A meaningful day of connection, culture, and cooperation. 🤝
