You can apply to one or several of the following positions:

Presidium positions:

- President
- Vice-President
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- Head of Communication

Other official mandates:

- Auditor
- Deputy Auditor

You may also nominate someone other than yourself. If you wish to nominate someone else, you should send this nomination to [email protected].

The application period is now open. The last day to apply is March 22. Please send your application, consisting of a CV and a motivational letter to the Nomination Committee by filling in the form found in our bio.

Once the Nomination Committee has made their decisions on who to nominate, it is still possible to counter-candidate for a position if you are interested. This must be done by the 3rd of May at the latest. To register as a counter-candidate, please send your CV and motivational letter to [email protected].

The ultimate decision on who to appoint is made by the Member Associations on the Electoral Meeting, which will take place on the 10th of May.

In the event of any floor nominations during the meeting, the floor nominee must send in their CV as a supporting document.

🌍 On the initiative of and in collaboration with and , we are happy to announce that the 6th edition of the Nordic Convention of International Affairs will take place this spring!

📍The convention will take place during the weekend of 17-19 April in Malmö, under the theme “The Role of the Nordic-Baltic Region in a Changing World Order”.

Be the voice of young people in Sweden in the EU Youth Dialogue! 💬🌍 Apply by February 6!

LSU is looking for engaged youth representatives to help shape EU youth policy, gather youth perspectives, and represent Swedish youth in the EU. As a representative, you represent Swedish youth in the EU’s youth dialogue between march/june 2026 until December 31, 2027. UFS has the opportunity to nominate one person for this exciting and important role.

📌 There are two main responsibilities of this role:
1. To gather information of the opinions that young people in Sweden have within certain policy areas
2. To join EU conferences and represent these opinions

Working proficiency in both Swedish and English is a requirement. For more information about the role and the type of candidate LSU is looking for, see the link in our bio.

ℹ️ Overview of the process:

1. Candidates from UFS and all member associations send in their applications by February 6.
2. The UFS National Board votes on which candidate to nominate, the person selected will be notified in the evening on February 16.
3. The chosen candidate submits their final application to LSU by February 22.

(Please note that the final decision of appointing Swedish youth representatives is made by LSU.)

🔊The summoning for an Extraordinary Annual Assembly has been sent out! 🔊

Registration, which is necessary to attend, is now open. To register, you may use either:

1. the link in our bio
2. the link sent on email to the board members

During the meeting we will address budgetary differences that the UFS operations will be facing during the second half of the operational year.

A link to the meeting will later be provided by email to those registered by 12:00 on the day before the meeting.

Member associations can submit motions to the Assembly by sending them via email to [email protected] by January 18.

🌍FORUM WEEKEND IN UMEÅ❄️

Earlier this month, from December 5–7, the UFS Forum Weekend was hosted by UpF Umeå.

Participants from members from UFS’ member associations gathered for a weekend of learning, discussion, and connection.

The program featured lectures on AI governance and home preparedness, followed by workshops were these relevant topics were discussed further. 💬

The weekend also offered time to connect socially and to share organizational insights through a Christmas-themed mingle and a formal dinner, strengthening existing relationships and creating new ones across the UFS/SAIA.

A big thank you to for being wonderful hosts, and to everyone working hard behind the scenes who made this weekend such a success.

Som medlemsorganisation i Folk och Försvar vill vi tipsa alla inom UFS inklusive de lokala föreningarna om Försvars- och säkerhetsakademin (FOSA) - en spetsutbildning för dig mellan 20-30 år och intresserad svensk försvars- och säkerhetspolitik.

Under flera heldagar mellan februari och maj 2026 får deltagarna möta några av Sveriges viktigaste säkerhetspolitiska aktörer genom föreläsningar, studiebesök och diskussioner. 📚
