Garden Book Circle!
Monday 24 August 2026, 18:30–20:00

The Garden Book Circle is a reading group for garden enthusiasts and anyone curious about the world of gardening. Each session features a short text related to gardens, followed by an open discussion. We will explore gardening in its broadest sense- delving into folklore, magic, philosophy, horticulture, and indigenous systems of knowledge.

Amongst others, we will read texts by Jamaica Kincaid, Ruth Stout, Masanobu Fukuoka, Olivia Laing, and Rebecca Solnit. We will collectively expand our library by following the inputs from the book circle so as to include more heterogeneous perspectives in our readings.

No pre-reading is required. Texts will be provided on-site. The sessions are held in English. Everyone is welcome.

Summer Laundry Mixtapes: Gay, Giti and Gasoline // Afrang Nordlöf Malekian

This World Cup made me revisit childhood summer memories of watching ”Footbalistha”, or better known as ”Ganbare, Kickers!”, an anime series following the small but astonishing footballer Kakeru Daichi. The mix includes the series’ soundtrack, but at its heart, ”Gay, Giti and Gasoline” is a cute road-trip mixtape with superstars like Ramesh and Fairuz for the season of love and long drives to the sea. Summer Laundry Mixtapes: Nostalgia for the Present // Misha Salomé

Another piece of my heart given out, taken away and elsewhere – as you leave a small piece of yours withe me, I… Like summer, you’ve become lived memory. I think about you all the time. I wonder, do you think about me too? A mix of whimsy, tenderness and ephemera. From the most known unknowns, Three 6 Mafia to classical music’s largest hands, Rachmaninoff! Munnen is so happy to welcome LEO (刘畅 / LIU Chang) Chang Liu (Leo) to a summer in Bagarmossen! LEO is a dancer, artist and student at MA New Performative Practices at Stockholm University of the Arts. During the summer, LEO will use Munnen as a workspace to develop a performative video project exploring language, repetition, failure, and the experience of not understanding.

Sometimes Munnen improvises residencies; If you are a group or individual in need of a temporary workplace, you are welcome to contact us!

Munnen är så glada att välkomna LEO (刘畅 / LIU Chang) till en sommar i Bagarmossen! LEO är dansare, konstnär och student på MA New Performative Practices på Stockholm University of the Arts. Under sommaren kommer LEO att använda Munnen som arbetsplats för att utveckla ett performativt videoprojekt som utforskar språk, repetition, misslyckande och upplevelsen av att inte förstå.

Join us at Munnen for the semi-regular Tender Hands Printing Co-op! Against the “too-rough fingers of the world” we carve to heal, hope, and dream~* We carve images and words into plates of wood and MDF, to make collective prints on textiles and paper. The session is open to all experience levels, just bring your curiosity about wood block printing. Tools and materials are provided.

We aim to organise this collaboratively with all those interested to participate! You’re also open to simply attend as you like. We are starting Tender Hands Printing Co-op inspired by A3BC in Tokyo, and daikon in the UK, which both uses collective graphic voices to visualize political struggles within different groups.
