Regarding the Visit of the Respected President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to China
On the occasion of the Respected Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's participation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit to be held in the People's Republic of China between August 31st and September 1st, we, as the International Union of East Turkistan Organizations, deliver the expectations of the East Turkistani diaspora to the public.
Türkiye has consistently been the most significant supporter of the East Turkistan cause, linked to its historical, cultural, and spiritual ties. Throughout history, the Uyghur Turks have been an inseparable part of the Turkic nations, sharing the same values in terms of faith, language, and culture. For this reason, the people of East Turkistan have always hoped for Türkiye's support, interest, and protective stance.
Today, Republic of Turkiye has emerged as a rising power not only in its region but also on the global stage. The steps taken under the leadership of our President have transformed Türkiye into a country whose voice is heard, whose opinions are considered, and that stands out with its justice-centered approaches in international matters. This strategic position and power are of vital importance in bringing the issue of East Turkistan to the world's agenda.
The Republic of Türkiye's will to protect oppressed regions, as a result of the strong leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, is watched with appreciation all over the world. The sincere and determined stance demonstrated in the Palestinian cause has made Türkiye one of the symbolic countries in the search for justice. The Union expects the same spirit and determination to be maintained for East Turkistan. Because for us, there is no difference between Palestine and East Turkistan; both are the shared tragedy of peoples who have been oppressed, whose freedoms have been usurped, and who have been deprived of their fundamental human rights.
As the International Union of East Turkistan Organizations, we expect that the Respected President Erdoğan will be the voice of his East Turkistan brothers on all international platforms, including the Shanghai Coop
