The Education Committee

The Education Committee The Education Committee of the Student Association at the Stockholm School of Economics is a link between students, faculty and other universities.

Contact: [email protected] The Education Committee works to ensure that the education at the Stockholm School of Economics meets the expectations of students, faculty and future employers. SSE students have many good ideas and opinions about how to improve their education. The Education Committee is the place where your feedback and thoughts can be collected and brought to the faculty. We are a very

open committee and everyone is welcome to join us in the UU-room to eat lunch or just to hang out for a while! If you have questions or opinions about the education, or if you are interested in any of our projects, our committee board members will be happy to help! Hope to see you soon! NOMINATIONS FOR THE “TEACHER OF THE YEAR”-AWARD OPEN! 🏆

The clock hits 08.15, and a deep sigh escapes your chest. The morning darkness feels daunting, and the rain pattering against the Aula-window sure doesn’t help. But suddenly, a force of warming light enters the room; a figure you have seen in many lectures before, and who somehow always manages to turn your frown around. Who is this mysterious person?

UU hopes that, perhaps, you have the answer to this question. Seize the opportunity to showcase your appreciation for a teacher who has made a great impact on your learning journey through nominating them for Teacher of the Year. Access the link in our bio and complete the form to cast your vote.

Many thanks to Nordea for making this award possible!

Much lUUve! 💙

What every thesis writer ought to know:
Thoughts on process, priorities, and informed decision making

High-stakes writing projects have a bad reputation. Some of that is deserved. They can be difficult, the usually take a long time to complete, which calls for some project-management skills, and of course the stakes are high so there is a lot of pressure to succeed.

Some of that reputation, though, is inaccurate, inaccuracy that stems from such projects, and academic writing more generally, being draped in mystery, so that the writing often takes place in a cloud uncertainty.

In our time together, I’d like to pull back the curtains a little, share some insights that can help you to manage your project/writing process, and draw attention to the most important thing I’ve learned in xx years of teaching writing (sorry, that number is embarrassingly high). That thing is this: writing is a lot more fun when you do it as a decision maker and not a rule follower.
