Brilliant Minds Stockholm Brilliant Minds was founded in 2015 by Spotify founder and CEO, Daniel Ek, and serial entrepreneur, Arash Pournouri.

The early mission was to spotlight the successful Swedish tech ecosystem and convene creative people around “Swedish values” rooted in openness, transparency, equality, trust and social responsibility to collaborate and create impact. In 2018, Brilliant Minds began a new global chapter as The Brilliant Minds Foundation. As of 2020 the board consists of Daniel Ek and the Wallenberg, Berg/Ax:son Joh

nson, Rapp, Persson, Olsson, Schörling and Andersson families. What started as a symposium in Stockholm, has five years later grown into a global community and movement shaping the future by challenging the present.The aim of the Brilliant Minds Foundation is to support founders with transformative ideas that make the world more sustainable, creative and inclusive.

This year, we came together to explore what becomes possible when optimism is met with courage, creativity, and purpose. Through inspiring conversations, unexpected connections, and shared experiences, we were reminded that the future is shaped not only by our vision for what could be, but by the actions we take to bring it to life. Together, we explored the power of turning Hope into Action and action into meaningful change

We were proud to welcome some of the world’s most Brilliant Minds: visionary speakers who challenged our thinking and inspired new perspectives, remarkable guests from across the globe, and extraordinary artists whose performances brought energy, emotion, and creativity to every moment.

Hjalmar Nilsonne is a serial entrepreneur and the co-founder and CEO of Neko Health. Prior to founding Neko Health, he spent over a decade working on the transition to a renewable energy system. Growing up in a family of doctors, he holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering, specializing in energy systems and machine learning.

RIVER is a Swedish artist shaped by a life of movement, loss, and self-discovery. Raised in Gothenburg on a deep love for music—from Elvis Presley to Nina Simone—she found her voice early, but it was after losing her father at 17 that she set out into the world to find herself.

Her journey took her across continents, eventually landing in Mexico, where she performed, built a band, and lived fully. A time of self-reflection led her back to Sweden to take the next steps in her musical journey. Now based in Stockholm RIVER channels her experiences into honest, timeless music rooted in resilience, identity, and a relentless devotion to her art.

From Rio de Janeiro to the world stage, Ingrid Silva has become a powerful voice in dance and culture. Internationally recognized, a former principal dancer with the Dance Theatre of Harlem and choreographer, she is celebrated not only for her artistry, but for championing representation and equity in the arts through initiatives like PodHer, Blacks in Ballet, and Dancers and Motherhood. Her historic pointe shoes were added to the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History & Culture in 2020, cementing her impact far beyond the stage.

Dr. Amy Beethe is a pediatric cardiac anesthesiologist at Children’s Nebraska with over a decade of experience caring for young patients. Inspired by the realities of child abuse and neglect she witnessed in her work, she and her husband became foster parents—ultimately adopting five children in addition to their three biological kids. Today, she is a passionate advocate for foster care reform at both state and national levels.
