WIFT-tech We're a collective of talented women+ working behind the camera across the Nordic region.

We aim to empower, support and celebrate female, trans, non-binary and gender fluid people working in camera & lighting. OUR AIM:
To support women to improve their employability in the film industry's technical jobs, and therefore to contribute to increase the number of women in film and TV to have a greater chance of reaching their desired job position, and help to break the glass ceiling in the film industry.

“Icy and dark is the world of the most skilled hunters in the depths of the oceans: cold-water sharks. So far, little is known about their way of life and their fascinating strategies. 🩈

On Wednesday, September 9, we have the opportunity to dive below the surface, when Christina Karliczek Skoglund shows “The sharks of the cold seas” at the Maritime Museum Aquarium.

In the film, we see Christina tracking sharks in cold waters together with her team of experienced divers and researchers. The extensive expeditions bring unique images to the surface and tell of dramatic adventures.

Christina Karliczek Skoglund begins with a short introduction about her work on the film. She is currently working on the exhibition “Sharks, Camera, Action!” at the Maritime Museum Aquarium.”

e had a conversation with the often quoted “fearless DoP” Frida Wendel Fsf , who talked about some of the challenges of this production, particularly technical and logistical (eg. crazy amount of vfx, remote locations, filming summer in winter and viceversa), but also and mostly the incredible teamwork and unity that this production had, something we believe it translates in the outcome of this incredible series.
We also had the opportunity to hear from Director Lisa James Larsson, and even 1AC Sofia Liander.

Last week we had the honour to celebrate some of the fantastic female talent đŸ’Ș that made the biggest production yet in Sweden, not just budget wise, but due to their complex production and the magnitud of it, and of course telling a story that is so close to the Swedish people’s (and Scandinavian’s!) heart: Ronja The Robber’s Daughter.
We had a conversation with the often “quoted fearless DoP” Frida Wendel Fsf , who talked about some of the challenges of this production, particularly technical and logistical (eg. crazy amount of vfx, remote locations, filming summer in winter and viceversa), but also and mostly the incredible teamwork and unity that this production had, something we believe it translates in the outcome of this incredible series.

We are very excited about this great series, and super proud of Cinematographer Frida Wendel FSF beautiful craft.

We want to celebrate her and everyone in the crew, so join us for some drinks and nibbles, watch some clips together from the first episode, followed by a casual conversation with Frida about her experience in the production of this series. Director Lisa James Larsson will be there too, along with one of the best 1AC Sofia Liander!
