Another story from an old student from Kondh School:
Korra Arjun (20) , a Kondh Adivasi from Goyyigunta, faced early educational challenges. After failing to adapt to a hostel school, his father took him to Hyderabad for two years of migrant work. There, seeing other children studying, Arjun's interest in education was intensely sparked.
At age 12, unable to read or write, he returned and started attending Kondh Play school in his village. Teacher Kasulamma recognized his motivation and taught him the basics.
Despite being initially rejected from a hostel due to the lack of an Aadhaar card and certificates, Arjun's determination impressed the Head Master at Lambasingi Boarding School, who enrolled him in the 5th grade upon his request (instead of the 8th grade suggested by his age). He excelled, passing the 10th grade (2023) and Intermediate (BiPC, 2025) with A grades.
Although he attempted the NEET exam, he could not pursue further medical studies due to his family's inability to afford the transportation costs for coaching. Driven by his strong desire to learn, Arjun is now continuing his education, pursuing a B.Sc. First Year in Zoology at the Government Degree College, Chintapalli.
