The bioenergy sector plays a key role in the global energy transition, yet there is still limited data available on gender representation within the industry.

To help address this gap, the World Bioenergy Association has launched a survey focused on the participation and distribution of women in the bioenergy sector. The initiative aims to establish a foundation for long-term analysis and contribute to a better understanding of diversity and inclusion across the industry.

We invite professionals, companies, associations, researchers, and stakeholders from across the bioenergy value chain to participate in the survey and support this important initiative.

📋 Access the survey here: https://form.jotform.com/260842605831052
🗓️ Deadline: 22 May 2026

We also encourage you to share the survey within your professional networks. Broad participation is essential to ensure that the results are representative of the sector and valuable for future analysis and discussion.

All responses will remain confidential and results will be presented anonymously.

Thank you for contributing to a more informed and inclusive bioenergy sector.

👥 Women make up around 40% of the global workforce, yet only 1 in 5 energy jobs is held by a woman. In renewable energy, women represent 32% of full-time jobs, but for the bioenergy sector, comparable data is still missing.

👉 To help close this knowledge gap, the World Bioenergy Association is launching an annual survey on the role and representation of women in bioenergy.

🔗 All genders are invited to participate. Responses will be treated confidentially, and results will be shared anonymously. Take part in the survey here: https://form.jotform.com/260842605831052 until 22 May 2026.

📊 The more responses we receive, the stronger and more representative the results will be. By participating and sharing the survey, you can help build a clearer picture of gender distribution in bioenergy and support more inclusive development across the sector. Thank you!
