We extend our warmest congratulations to the Nigerian community on this special occasion, commemorating your nation's history, rich cultural heritage, and national pride. Your celebration was truly remarkable, reflecting the beauty, diversity, and vibrant spirit of Nigeria.

We sincerely appreciate the warm hospitality, kindness, and generosity extended to us throughout the event. The delicious traditional Nigerian cuisine, colourful cultural displays, and captivating traditional dances made the celebration memorable and demonstrated the richness of Nigerian culture and traditions.

Beyond the celebration itself, this gathering highlighted the importance of unity, mutual respect, and cooperation among African communities living in Sweden.
Such occasions strengthen our bonds, promote cultural understanding, and remind us that despite our different nationalities, we share a common African identity and a vision of peace, solidarity, and collective progress.

CONDOLENCE MESSAGE

The South Sudanese Community Association in Sweden (SSCAS) conveys its deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to its Secretary of Culture, Ms. Lula Bar, and her entire family on the passing of her beloved mother, Mama Markuob.
The loss of a mother is an immeasurable sorrow, leaving a void that words can scarcely express. During this difficult period of mourning, the Association stands in profound solidarity with Ms. Lula Bar and her family, sharing in their grief and extending its sincere compassion and support. We pray that the Almighty God grants the bereaved family strength, comfort, and fortitude to endure this painful loss. May the cherished memories of Mama Markuob’s life and the love she bestowed upon her family remain a lasting source of comfort and strength. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
The Association further extends its sincere appreciation to all members who participated in and contributed towards ensuring the dignified burial of Mama Markuob. Your generosity, presence, and collective support exemplify the unity, humanity, and solidarity that define our community.

ANNOUNCEMENT: SSCAS ANNUAL MEETING 2026

The South Sudanese Community Association in Sweden (SSCAS) is pleased to announce its Annual Meeting 2026, which will bring together members to reflect on the Association’s achievements, discuss priorities for the coming year, and strengthen our collective commitment to serving the South Sudanese community in Sweden.

📅 Date: Saturday, November 7, 2026
📍 Location: Medborgarplatsen 4, Stockholm
🕐 Time: 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM

The meeting is freely open to all SSCAS members.We warmly encourage all members to attend and actively participate in the discussions and decision-making processes that shape the future of our Association.

Key Activities and Agenda

1. Annual Report
Presentation and discussion of the SSCAS annual report, including an overview of the Association’s activities, achievements, challenges, and progress during the year.

2. 2026–2027 Projects and Plans
Members will discuss proposed projects, priorities, and activities for 2026–2027, with an opportunity to contribute ideas and recommendations for strengthening the Association’s work.

3. Constitution Amendment
The meeting will consider and discuss proposed amendments to the SSCAS Constitution, with members encouraged to participate constructively in shaping the Association’s governance and future direction.

This annual meeting is an important opportunity for members to come together, share ideas, promote unity, and contribute to the continued development of SSCAS.
