During 2025 and 2026, Assyrians Without Borders, together with St. Jacob’s Cathedral in Södertälje, supported several projects in Tur Abdin, the historic Assyrian region in southeastern Turkey. A new playground was built in Mor Bobo, giving the village’s 18 Assyrian children a safe place to play. We also purchased and distributed 12 printers to 12 schools in Tur Abdin, with one printer provided to each school.

We would like to thank St. Jacob’s Cathedral in Södertälje for the generous support that helped make these projects possible. We hope to continue supporting practical projects that benefit Assyrian communities in Tur Abdin and other parts of the homeland.

On 6 July, Assyrians gathered peacefully in Nohadra to protest renewed land encroachments in Kashkawa, Nahla. They called on the authorities to enforce existing court rulings, stop further encroachments, and protect the rights and property of Assyrian villages.

At Assyrians Without Borders, we believe that protecting our homeland also means helping people build a life there. Together with the Assyrian Aid Society, we support practical projects that strengthen local livelihoods and make it possible for families to remain in their villages.

The irrigation project we carried out together in Hayes is one example. By extending the village’s water network, the project now provides irrigation to 12 additional orchards and helps local farmers increase their production.

IRRIGATION NETWORK IN HAYES

We’re expanding the irrigation network in Hayes, Duhok, to reach 12 more orchards. By providing reliable water, we’re helping local farmers improve their harvests and build a more sustainable future for the village.

Assyrier Utan Gränser utlyser härmed årsmöte för kalenderåret 2025.
Under årsmötet går Assyrier Utan Gränser igenom förra årets verksamhet och ekonomi samt väljer en ny valberedning och nya revisorer.
