This Saturday, it is the finissage of our exhibition HOSTING, which also marks the end of the year long project “Common Space” and 2024’s program at Celsius Projects.

Natasja Loutchko will show a table installation with edibles, a Canteen, and more; Marie Vedel & Tringa Gashi present their latest work "Split", an experimental film consisting of performance scenes recorded in the gallery simultaneously as it is being shown; and Anne Langgaard’s sculptures will still be on view.

The event is kids friendly and kindly supported by Konstitori.

This Saturday, we are celebrating the finissage of our exhibition HOSTING and the year 2024 at Celsius Projects. Come join us in celebrating with edible art and performance.

*"Split":
Someone wants to make a deal, buy a house in the forest or invest in experience economy. They try to explain cause and effect but find themselves constantly bogged down in details, losing sight of the bigger picture. In a joint search for understanding their own calculations they begin to grow suspicious of each other, and a minor drama unfolds. November 23 Marie Vedel and Tringa Gashi present their latest work Split at Celsius Projects in Malmö.

Artist bio
Marie Kaae is a choreographer, dancer, curator and event producer whose body of work is connected to house culture and house dance. Kaae found home in the independent freestyle and battle culture in Paris in 2005, closely tied to the original house scene from NYC, and is also known as a two-time winner of House Dance Forever.

The menu will feature dishes inspired by a collaborative work that currently is on view on our BULDING-exhibition, for which Sindri invited Martina Priehodová, Lily Dollner, Marjike Klamer, Sturla Magnússon, Kristyan Nicholson, Aske Hyldborg and Emil Sandström.

This exhibition is part of the project "Common Ground" that explores methods of understanding the changing present and aims to share space with the local audience and communities, to work together in public environments through art. The Sorgenfri industrial area, where Celsius Projects is located in a former industrial building, is characterised by constant change and gentrification. In this context, the exhibition highlights the role that building using physical materials plays in contributing to new communities. To gather, invent and survive through culture.

After half a decade of community-oriented, experimental art practice and a cross-disciplinary program in its Möllan gallery space, Whose Museum’s activities in the city of Malmö culminate in this major solo exhibition, inviting the public to get to know a part of Whose Museum’s identity that is often hidden: Whose Museum in itself is a monumental artwork. It extends the boundaries of our understanding of what art is and can be. The collective creates a deep network of installations connecting museums, archives, artist-run spaces and shops in a meaningful narrative.
