🌍 Empowering Communities Through Training
LWB recently conducted a peer-to-peer Training of Trainers (ToT) on Active Listening as part of the project “Empowering Communities through Livelihoods, Equality and Climate Action” in Homa Bay County.
This initiative is funded by Sida in collaboration with IDF.
The training brought together community members, local leaders and county officials equipping them with practical skills in active listening, communication, and inclusive engagement. Through peer learning, participants are now better prepared to support their communities, strengthen relationships, and promote sustainable development.
Together, we are building stronger, more inclusive communities where every voice is heard.

Empowering women in fisheries starts with strong partnerships. LWB recently visited Homa Bay County, Kenya, to assess our joint project with IDF and discuss implementation plans with the full team. Together, we’re working toward sustainable livelihoods for women in the fishing communities.

Today, lwb's partner organization IDF officially launched the introductory meeting for our new project on empowering women in the fisheries sector in Homa Bay County, Kenya.

In partnership with IDF, this initiative will strengthen sustainable livelihoods, advance gender equality, and support climate-smart practices for women in fisheries.

We look forward to working closely with the community and our partners to create lasting impact.
