SRHR-nätverket Skåne träffade idag de gröna i Skåne. Vi fortsätter att kämpa för en bättre sexuell och reproduktiv hälsa för hela Skåne!

SRHR Network Skåne met today with de gröna in Skåne. We continue to fight for better sexual and reproductive health for all of Skåne!

SRHR-nätverket inom idéburen sektor i Skåne tog idag emot Mätta Ivarsson och Tobias Olsson från Miljöpartiet de gröna i Skåne för samtal om behovet av en strategi för sexuell hälsa i Skåne.

Nätverket består av oss och RFSU Malmö, Positiva Gruppen Syd, Hiv-Sverige/HIV-Sweden, Läkare i Världen - Malmö och Noaks Ark Mosaik.

👉Here is our last panelist for the Roots paneldiscussion! Anna who is one of our board members is with us in the paneldiscussion at Roots coming Saturday.

Roots is there for you who is living with HIV and/or has migration experience, or simply for you who is an ally and want to learn more. 🙏

During this one-day forum we will explore topics such as HIV and identity, in-betweenship, decolonial gaze, racism, discrimination and practical things you can do when it arises. We promise it will be an interesting day!😍

Meet our panelist for Roots: Daniel Johnson! 🏳️‍🌈

👉 Daniel Johnson is the President of RFSL Malmö. He works as a teacher, is active in the teachers' union, and has a background in sociology.

His main focus within RFSL is political influence and creating accessible meeting places where LGBTQI people can find community.

At Roots, he will join the panel discussion and share his perspectives on HIV, migration, challenges, and inspiration.

👉 Yahia Saleh is a project manager who works to increase knowledge about SRHR (Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights) and HIV/STI for migrants and people in social vulnerability. He also works to increase competence, strategies, and methods among professionals who meet these target groups.

At Roots, he will moderate the panel discussion and guide the conversation about HIV, migration, challenges, and inspiration.

Remember our first speaker for Roots, is Vinh Phillips Ingvason Nguyên. 💚

👉 He has a Bachelor of Art major Gender Studies and is adopted from Vietnam, with roots from Cambodia and grew up in Sweden with an Icelandic/Danish father and Swedish mother.

▪️Vinh Phillips Ingvason Nguyên works full time as a coordinator for violence prevention, lecturing about violence, violence prevention, norms, macho culture, consent and human rights.

We look forward to an engaging gathering where he will focus on hiv, migration, inbetween-ship, minority stress and minority joy, a topic he has a personal connection to.

Our next speaker that we would like to present is Malcolm Jallow, from Afrosvenskarnas Forum för Rättvisa!💚

👉Malcolm Jallow is the Founder and chair of Afrosvenskarnas Forum för Rättvisa (The Pan-African movement for Justice). He is one of the most recognised human rights advocates in Europe.

▪️During his lecture we will examine the impact of health systems, stereotypes, stigma, representation, and the “colonial gaze,” while also highlighting resistance, dignity, healing, and community empowerment. 🤝

The lecture is taking place between 12:45 am and 14:00am. Malcolm is also joining the panel discussion alongside community members, Noaks Ark Mosaik and RFSL Malmö. Yahia Saleh from RFSU Malmö will be moderating the panel.

👉 Malcolm Jallow är grundare och ordförande för Afrosvenskarnas Forum för Rättvisa (den panafrikanska rörelsen för rättvisa). Han är en av Europas mest uppmärksammade människorättsförespråkare.

▪️Malcolm kommer att lyfta hälsosystem, stereotyper, stigma, representation och den ”koloniala blicken” och hur dessa påverkar människors liv, samtidigt som vi lyfter motstånd, värdighet, läkning och community empowerment. 🤝

Malcolm föreläser mellan kl. 12:45 och 14:00 och deltar även i panelsamtalet tillsammans med communitymedlemmar, Noaks Ark Mosaik och RFSL Malmö. Moderater är Yahia Saleh från RFSU Malmö.

👉About Noaks Ark Mosaik:
Noaks Ark Mosaik is a Swedish non-profit network focused on reducing the impact of HIV through prevention, psychosocial support, advocacy, and migrant group prioritisation. They work to increase knowledge, promote early testing, and provide counselling and support for people living with HIV and their families. A central goal is to reduce stigma and discrimination so that people living with HIV can live with dignity and equal access to care.

The paneldiscussion is taking place between 2:15pm and 3:15pm.

Our next speaker for Roots that we would like to present is Anna Lie from Malmö against Discrimination.☺

👉About Anna Lies workshop:
"Protection against Discrimination": What is discrimination and what do you do if you're discriminated against? People living with HIV stand the risk of being discriminated against based off disability, but also because of ethnicity and sexual orientation. Anna Lie, lawyer in human rights, gives this lecture on the Swedish Discrimination Act (swe. "Diskrimineringslagen"). The lecture entails a theoretical framework to what discrimination is, as well as concrete judicial tools for what to do to seek justice when it occurs.

This workshop is one of the many sessions and takes place between 11am and 11:45am.
