THERE IS NO CLIMATE EMERGENCY 📣

The earth environment is extremly important for all who live on this planet. We are dependent on a sustainable eco system to flurich and live. Today we face a lot of enviromental problems, like deforestation, water and air polution, that we have to tackle as soon as possble. However, climate change is not a near term threat to our civilization.

* A warmer climate SAVES LIFES:
It has been estimated that about 5.1 million excess deaths per year are associated with non-optimal temperatures. Of those, 4.6 million are associated with colder than optimum temperatures, and 0.5 million are associated with hotter than optimum temperatures.

Deaths associated with non-optimal temperatures have been decreasing over time as it has gotten warmer partly due to a reduction in cold deaths. It has been estimated that warming from 2000 to 2019 has resulted in a net decline in excess deaths globally (a larger decrease in cold deaths than an increase in heat deaths).

* CO2 levels are near all times low:
Contrary to the often repeated mantra that today’s CO2 concentration is unprecedentedly high, our current levels of carbon dioxide are at near-historic lows. The average CO2 concentration in the preceding 600 million years was more than 2,600 ppm, nearly seven times our current amount and 2.5 times the worst case predicted by the IPCC for 2100. We don’t have too much CO2, we don’t have enough for an optimal climate (see graph).

* See levels are not a big threat:
Studies have found that the amount of sea level increase the Earth has experienced over the past century is not unusual historically, nor has the rate of rise increased significantly over the past few decades. Increasing CO2 concentrations are not significantly affecting the rate of sea level rise. As these concentrations have increased from before the industrial age when atmospheric CO2 levels were about 280 ppm to current conditions where they exceed 400 ppm, the lack of a significant change in the rate of increase implies that sea level rise is not responding to changes in greenhouse gas concentrations. (https://heartland.org/wp-content/uploads/documents/SeaLevelRiseCCRII.pdf)

* More CO2 will make the planer greener:
CO2 is not a pollutant. It is a plant food that is essential to all life on Earth. Scientists have long suspected that a flourishing of green foliage around the globe, observed since the early 1980s in satellite data, springs at least in part from the increasing concentration of carbon dioxide in Earth’s atmosphere. Now, a study of arid regions around the globe finds that a carbon dioxide fertilization effect has, indeed, caused a gradual greening from 1982 to 2010. (https://phys.org/news/2013-07-greening-co2.html)

Global tree cover is rapidly expanding across the planet as CO2 concentrations in the atmosphere rise to healthier, pro-tree levels that support forest growth and health. (Global land change from 1982 to 2016: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-018-0411-9)

* Global warming has not increased deaths caused by natural disasters:
There is no statistical evidence that global warming is intensifying hurricanes, floods, droughts and suchlike natural disasters, or making them more frequent. In addition, the data clearly shows that deaths caused by natural disasters is now at all time low (see graph).

* The climate is cold:
The geological archive reveals that Earth’s climate has varied as long as the planet has existed, with natural cold and warm phases. The Little Ice Age ended as recently as 1900. Therefore, it is no surprise that we now are experiencing a period of warming. Still we live in a climate that is one of the coldest ever (see graph). You have to ask yourself why media and the ones in power want to freeze the temperature at the 1850s level and why they started the measurment from that exact year. And do people really believe that we can freeze the temperature of 1850s forever?

* The danger of cancel culture and anti science:
A large portion of the results from scinece is hidden from the general public and prominent researchers are canceled from speaking out. John F. Clauser, who won the the Nobel Prize in physics last year, was canceled from giving his speach on climate models at a IMF meeting because he do not believe there is a climate crisis. One of the worlds most meritorious climate scientist, Dr. Lennart Bengtsson, has had his climate change paper rejected from the journal Environmental Research Letters due to "intolerance of dissenting views on climate science.". Greenpeace co-founder Patrick Moore has been deplatformed from social media and canceled from climate conferences for disputing that there is a "climate emergency". Physics Nobel Prize laureate Professor Ivar Giaever canceled, MIT Professor/Climate Scientist Dr. Richard Lindze canceled, climatologist and former NASA scientist Roy Spencer canceled. The list goes on and on.

Science should always be open to question and revision as we come up with new ideas and discover new evidence. Instead experts and scientists who go against the current narrative are called climate deniers and other diminishing words. This is more signs of a sect´s behaviour than the scientific way of learning.

Non scientistic apocalyptic preaching has been around througout history, and present time is no exception. In 2006, Al Gore´s global warming documentary "An Inconvenient Truth," predicted that the global sea level could rise as much as 20 feet (6,1 m) "in the near future." Between 1993-2021, the sea level has ticked up 3.8 inches (9,7 cm), according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). At that rate, it would take approximately 1,136 years for the world's sea level to rise 20 feet.

In March 2023 Greta Thunberg deleted a tweet from 2023 saying “A top climate scientist is warning that climate change will wipe out all of humanity unless we stop using fossil fuels over the next five years.”. More deletes will probably follow...

In the end the truth will always win. This year, even Jim Skea, head of the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), had to admit that surpassing the 1.5°C mark would lead to many problems and social tensions, but it would not constitute an existential threat to humanity. Something the mainstream media wasn´t keen on reporting.

In summary:
There is no climate emergency. Therefore, there is no cause for panic and alarm. We need to get rid of the harmful and unrealistic net-zero CO2 policy proposed for 2050. Climate policy must respect scientific and economic realities. If the proposed "climate-promoting" measures were to be implemented, billions of people would die. This because more than 80 percent of the world's energy systems consist of fossil fuels, and poorer countries are extremly dependent on this for their survival. This is not something that is possible to change in a hurry without causing massive death.

As it will get gradually warmer we need to go for adaptation instead of mitigation. The resources we need to spend on adaption is likely very much less, than the trillions of dollars we spend on mitigation annually. Of course people sometimes need to move to other areas, because of the poor living conditions. We need to secure that those people can live good lives in other places. Throughout history, people have always moved to other more benificial areas. It´s nothing new.

There are many resons why this climate agenda is pushed upon us. It has to do with money and control (as usuall). This is however another subject that I will not dive into now :)
