🍂 AUTUMN AT THE EDGE OF SKÅNE! 🌊

Travel guide giant Lonely Planet just named Skanör-Falsterbo one of the world’s top 50 places to go in 2027, and we’re getting there before everyone else 😉 This Saturday we’re walking from Ljunghusen to Skanör along the wilder, more scenic northern side of the peninsula. Grazing cows, the remains of an old fishing village, and salty sea breeze all the way. 💙

Note: This is a one-way route, so we won’t loop back to the start. The trail follows low-lying coastal terrain and can get wet after rain. The route can be shortened if needed.

All OnBoard: Let the Games Begin! 🎲
Our new board-game activity kicked off! Kids and grown-up kids challenged each other —and after a few “wait, how do we play this?” moments, Ticket to Ride and Mexican Train came out on top. But the real winners? The smiles. And not only that day…

Systems Thinking For Life: Big Topics, Fresh Angles 🧠✨
We reflected on things that are often on our minds—finding a job, living in Sweden—and explored all with DSRP techniques. We looked at them differently and left…smiling! 😊

Local Discoveries: Söderåsen National Park 🌲🍂
A true adventure: the trail start was relocated, so we searched, laughed, and found it together. 🥾😅 Muddy, slippery rocks? No problem. Beautiful views and autumn leaves made it all worth it!

🚏 Next Stop: Mexico! Día de Mu***os Is Calling! 💀

Our van still hasn’t stopped since the last Intercultural Hitchhike—and now it’s about to arrive in none other than Mexico! 🇲🇽

Día de Mu***os (Day of the Dead) is one of Mexico’s most important and symbolic celebrations, and it’s almost here. We just couldn’t miss it!

Last year, we hosted the biggest Día de Mu***os celebration Skåne has ever seen, and our Mexican members gave everything to share the magic of this tradition with everyone who came. 💯

But don’t be sad if you missed it! Ramón and Marcela—the 2 stars of the event 🌟—have jumped on the van and will tell you all about this celebration, detail by detail!

What do they have planned for us? 👀

A super interactive presentation and a seriously fun quiz where we’ll learn about Día de Mu***os, what it symbolizes, and all its traditions. Plus a workshop where we’ll make traditional paper marigold flowers to place on… the altar! 🌼🕯️ It will be a beautiful moment where we don’t just learn about the tradition—we also feel it, just like Mexicans do on this special day. 🫶

One of Europe’s largest protected deciduous forests is waiting, and we’re exploring it on a brand-new route that brings us to Kopparhatten, with views straight down into the 90-metre-deep Skäralidsdalen valley! 🤩

👥 We’ve invited four internationals working in different roles at Axis Communications, each with a very different career journey:

🔹 Irma Lovdalen – Coordinator, New Business. From Albania, Irma has a background in humanitarian work, disaster risk reduction, and climate change adaptation
🔹 Fabian Ariel Querede – Experienced IT Support Technician & Global IT Region Coordinator. From Argentina, Fabian has been building his IT career at Axis since 2018.
🔹 Antonio Gallardo Girela – Technical Services Engineer, Southern Europe. From Spain, Antonio moved from languages and translation into technology and web development.
🔹 Angeline Tria – Customer Insight Project Manager. From the Philippines, Angeline brings experience across technology, banking, consulting, and teaching.

Some weeks are for slowing down.
This one? Not even close. 😎

🏃‍♂️ Malmö Marathon
While runners powered toward the finish line, Social Hub volunteers helped keep the event running behind the scenes—and even raised funds for the community 🙌. Directing traffic, clearing the way, keeping the marathon route flowing… and yes, Jack Sparrow too! 🏴‍☠️😂

🇩🇴 Social Dancing: Bachata Moves!
After an intro to Cuban Salsa and a special Argentinian Cuarteto session, it was time for Dominican rhythms—and the journey with our super Dmytro has only just begun! 🦸🏻‍♂️ Two more weeks to go, but we’re already mastering some new moves. The fun? 💯

🗺️ Language Café at Ideon
New tables sparked new conversations—including French 🇫🇷 alongside our usual Swedish, English, and Spanish. Because sometimes “I don’t speak it very well” is exactly where the best conversations begin! 😉

🔥 Campfire Conversations
We went a little deeper this time: the chapters that shaped us, the stories beneath the facts, and our journeys through the eyes of someone who knows us well. Sometimes it takes another perspective to notice how far we’ve come. ❤️

Okay, major spoiler alert… India Day? You’ll get the full scoop tomorrow, so keep that curiosity in check! 👀 Let’s just say we’ve started prepping decorations for a new event… and that’s all you’re getting! 🤐 We can also confirm the prep came with perfectly timed Kanelbullar. The day demanded it, and Susanne’s family delivered. Thank youuuu 😋🙏

🎲✨ Let's roll out the welcome mat for All onBoard — our new activity for all ages, centered around board games! ✨🎲

All onBoard is all this and much more! The idea is simple: bring people around the same table and let the games do the rest. Connect, discover, have fun, and explore together.

Choose from the games we have available — suitable for children aged 6 and up. Form a small group with other participants and play together. Never played before? No problem — we’ll explain the rules before you start. 🙌

And if there’s a board or card game you love, bring it along and introduce it to someone new! 🃏

☕ Coffee and tea are on us, but we’d love it if you could bring a little something to eat and sweeten the fun together! Homemade or store-bought, every treat is welcome.

👨‍👩‍👧 Open to all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times. The main language of the activity is English, but we’ll do our best to accommodate Swedish as well.
