Midsommar took over last week – and Social Hub was vibing HARD! 🌸🎉

On the longest day of the year, we took over Social Hub’s giant blanket at Stadsparken for an EPIC picnic that is now one of our most cherished traditions! 🧺☀️ And yeah, the treats were delicious – but they weren't the only stars. 💫 A lot Social Hubbers showed up, but also many our friends of , and it was a full-on party: games, music, dancing, and that unbeatable feeling of just being together. 🫶 What a community, seriously!

Everyone eventually headed home… but only for a few hours. 😴⏰ Because Saturday, we were RIGHT BACK at Stadsparken, cheering our hearts out for Sweden in the World Cup! ⚽ 🇸🇪 Okay, so we didn't exactly bring the winning luck this time (oops 😅)... but did we bring the JOY? ABSOLUTELY! 🔥

And the Midsommarstång? Obviously not missing that. But being basic? Not Social Hub's style. So the crew went full adventure mode with the new captain, Neha, who led an awesome Local Discovery along the Domsten–Helsingborg stretch. 🌲🌊🥾 Coast, forest, stunning views – and the best kind of company.

Who knew one week could pack so much? Picnic mode, fan mode, adventure mode – and every single one was better because you all showed up. Here's to many more! 🥂✨

Staying in town this summer and looking for something creative to do? ☀️

While many places take a summer break, Craft & Connect will be running all summer long! Join us every other Saturday for a relaxed afternoon of creativity, conversation, and connection.

Come with your knitting 🧶, crochet 🪢, embroidery 🪡, sewing 🧵, painting 🎨, or any other crafting project, and spend time surrounded by fellow makers who love sharing ideas, inspiration, and experiences.

This isn't a class or a workshop—just a welcoming social maker space where people create side by side, exchange tips, and enjoy each other's company.

And of course, there's always fika! ☕🍪 We take turns bringing something sweet to share, making it the perfect start to an afternoon of crafting and community.

🔧 Bring your own tools and materials. The HUB has a sewing machine available to borrow if no one else is using it.

HIKE: DOMSTEN → HELSINGBORG – a one-way stunner along the dramatic Landborgen cliffs, with crisp sea air, breathtaking Öresund Sound views 🌊🌅, lush beech forests, and a dreamy pass by Sofiero Castle. 🏰🌸

🙌 Summer is officially here – and so is our new lineup! 😎

Fresh vibes, good people, and a week full of moments that reminded us why this community is special. Let's rewind 🎞️

Tuesday – We kicked off the Language Meetups! 🇸🇪 Unfortunately the rain had other plans, so we moved indoors. Good thing too – because those walls couldn't contain the laughter anyway. Spontaneous chats, zero judgment. That's the rule. And there's no limit to which languages show up at these gatherings!

Wednesday – Back to Stadhallen for our weekly Language Café ☕ A classic that runs all year long. English & Swedish, all levels, with native volunteers helping fine-tune pronunciation. A bit more structured than Tuesday, but still super fun – especially with a good coffee in hand.

Thursday – Fit&Healthy time 💪 Pure energy. Outdoor functional training. Sweat – the good kind, the one that leaves you tired but weirdly happy and totally recharged.

Then the weekend arrived with two special appointments:

👉 Saturday – Local Discovery
We hiked from Stadsparken to St:Lars Park and all the way to Höjeådalens Natural Reserve. Bonus moments: birdwatching newborn chicks + nesting birds, and a whole herd of curious, playful horses… almost in the city center! 🐴 The walk was easygoing, but man did it build an appetite. So we did what we often do – pizza at La Cucina, jokes on the side, big smiles all around. 🍕

👉 Sunday – Craft & Connect 🧵 Back at HUB & Café. Fika, chatter, and art projects slowly coming to life – more color, more shape, more soul. 🎨 There's something magical about watching ideas turn into things you can actually hold. No rush, no rules – just creativity and good company. One of those cozy Sundays that sticks with you. 🫶

Summer time is Campfire time 🔥 - Also this June, we’re inviting you into the circle!

There’s something special about sitting around a fire together — with close friends, complete strangers, or the people slowly becoming something in between. We pause, listen differently, and feel a little more connected: to ourselves, to each other, and to the moments that shape us. 🌿

This month, let’s gather around memories — not necessarily the biggest or most dramatic moments of our lives, but the ones that stayed with us somehow. A conversation, a journey, a moment of freedom, laughter, belonging, or quiet happiness. Small or big, recent or long ago — just memories that still carry something meaningful. 💭✨

Through stories and gentle reflection, guided by thoughtful prompts and questions, we’ll explore what these moments might reveal about us: what we value, what makes us feel alive, which experiences make us feel connected, grounded, or fully ourselves.

No preparation needed. No pressure to share. Listening is just as welcome. 🫶

Ready to escape the city and discover one of Lund’s most beautiful hidden gems? 🧐 Join us this Saturday for a refreshing adventure through the peaceful landscapes of St. Lars Park-Höjeådalens Natural Reserve, with our fantastic Team Leader Olga leading the way! 🥾

Together, we'll explore scenic trails through historic surroundings, walk alongside the picturesque ‘Höje å’ river, and discover one of Lund’s most charming natural areas. From open meadows and gentle hills to rich wildlife and stunning views, every step offers something special and a chance to experience a different side of Lund.

Lace up your hiking shoes, bring your positive energy, and join us for a wonderful day in nature. 🐞

🇸🇪 100% Swedish Weekend Vibes! 🎉

This weekend's vibes were all about Sweden! Local Discoveries at Kulturen i Lund has become a true tradition – a way to feel a little more Swedish on a day full of flags and symbols of this country that welcomes us. 💙💛

Kulturen is one of the most iconic museums not only in Scania but in all of Sweden. 🏰 With buildings brought to Lund from so many different places, it made us totally immerse ourselves in the region's history and culture. Churches and houses from before the 1800s, daily habits of ancient Swedes, discovering Sámi culture and their struggle for recognition. 💪📜

Art, history, music and culture blended perfectly – and we enjoyed every second! 😍 Plus, this is ONE of the few days when entry to Kulturen in Lund is FREE! 🎟️ How could we miss this opportunity? 😉

To end on a high note, we headed to Bantorgets Ölkiosk and grabbed some drinks together. 🍻☀️ We had so much fun and laughed so hard! 😂

It's always hard saying goodbye… but how beautiful it is to say: See you next weekend! 👋💬

Spring has left us… and summer is officially taking over! 🌷➡️☀️

But with the warmer days, we're saying goodbye to some of our favorite activities that have kept us company since last autumn. 🥹 No regrets, though — just great memories, huge progress, and lessons we'll carry with us for a long, long time. 🙌

A MASSIVE thank you to everyone who warmed up the colder months by showing up for the community:

🥇 Alessandro – for revealing the dancer hiding inside each of us

And every single volunteer who came at the Language Café at Ideon to help our members level up their Swedish, English, and Spanish conversation skills!

And how amazing is this? 🤩 Abbe went from participant to volunteer – now helping beginners in Swedish like a total rockstar. From learner to leader. That's community magic. ✨
