Dear VR/AR network and community!
Sweden VR has been in Berlin for three days and was given a fantastic Climate Reality training by the amazing and fantastic man Mr Al Gore and his wonderful staff with the purpose to support Climate Reality and to become a Climate Reality Corporate leader.

We admire Mr Gore, who is fighting climate change and gather strong forces his own way and with such passion, very needed for our planet.

Sweden VR and I as the CEO support the Climate Reality Project and I wish all to do so by taking action for future generations to come. Climate change is here and all adults need to take responsibility, and it is not going fast enough. We all need to act in collaboration.

I also would like to take this opportunity to thank all participants in the global VR/AR SDG Global Contest. We are very happy to see the strong engagement from the VR/AR community and all the fantastic submissions, and also the spread of contributions globally! Thankyou, we are very grateful to see these actions taken.

The international VR/AR SDG competition 2018 !
Final deadline 20th of June 2018! One month left!

You have 4 categories to choose from. Together with others you contribute to the world's VR/AR Sustainable development goals (SDG) Library, and you are welcome to sign up to meet others in our global community, who wish to use VR/AR for SDG purposes.

The main theme of the contest is the UN’s 17 sustainable global goals.

The four categories are as follows:
• Category 1: 360° Video
• Category 2: AR project - SDG
• Category 3: Nature experience
• Category 4: Mobile VR

The International Sweden VR/AR competitions aims to harness the power of VR and AR- to captivate, SDG educate and showcase the beauty of our world. Furthermore, Sweden VR aims to stimulate, discover and highlight creative VR and AR talents worldwide, while bringing together high-tech and sustainability.

What’s the best way of moving over a distance in VR?

1. Locked: The viewer moves physically within a defined area (eg. 2x2 meters) and perhaps jumps to other nearby locations by using "teleportation".
2. On rails: The viewer moves forward automatically, as a passenger, on a set path without the possibility to significantly influence the direction of the journey.
3. Cockpit: The viewer can, with some mode of transportation, actively control the direction of the travel in the experience, e.g. like a pilot in an airplane.

Sweden VR is pleased to announce a competition!
Create an experience with a theme based on one, many or all of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. It is up to you how to express and handle the theme of the selected SDG.
For example:
It can be a beautiful creative AR nature experience (SDG: Life on land).
It can be a sea/ocean experience (SDG 14: Life below water)
It can be about health, a creative way to get people moving and think about physical exercise (SDG 3: Good health and well-being).
It can be an informative presentation about how to live in a green way (SDG 12: Responsible consumption and production).
There are four categories to choose from:
