ISA - International Students Association, Linköping Organizing fun social events at LiU 📅

Office opening hours are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 12:15-13:00. International Students Association at LiU works for and with LiU's international students, striving to promote cultural diversity on campus. By international, we mean that it is integrated by people from different regions and cultures of the world, including students from Sweden at Linköping University. ISA was founded in

2006 and it has been the group behind various international events on campus, most prominently the annual iDay in the spring, a week with sports competitions, performances and an international culture fair attracting more than 2000 people every year.

We're looking for creative, reliable and dynamic people to join our team! Your main task will be to help run activities and bring in your own ideas.💡

Open Positions:
* Treasury - Decide ISA's budget, be responsible for invoices, transactions and holding our bank card. This is perfect for you, if you're good with money.
* Welcome Period Coordinators - Welcome new students, plan activities, connect with other associations and make sure new students feel included from day one.

While each member has their own role, our work is very collaborative. We expect all board members to join meetings, take care of their tasks, and be ready to help each other out when needed.

🥏 “Ever wanted to throw things in the forest… but in a socially acceptable way?” 🌲😄
Good news — ISA is kicking off the season with our first Disc Golf event of the year, and we’re doing it at one of the best spots around!
Rydsskogen is well known for its great disc golf courses, making it the perfect place to start the season. Whether you’re here to compete, explore, or just enjoy the outdoors, this is your chance!
Disc golf is like regular golf — but instead of clubs and balls, you throw discs toward a metal basket with chains. Sounds easy… until the trees get involved 🌳
Don’t worry if you’ve never played before — we’ll explain the rules and guide you through everything. We’ll split into smaller groups and start from different points along the course, but meet up together at the beginning.
We’ll take care of the equipment (yes, free frisbees included 🥏), you just bring a good mood and your best throwing arm!
⚠️ Warning: may cause unexpected competitiveness and a strong urge to “just try one more throw.”
Spots are limited, so make sure to sign up in time! ✍️
Bring water and maybe some snacks — we’ll be out for a while!

🏳️‍🌈 Pride is both a celebration of the LGBTQ+ community and a protest ✊ to bring awareness to our struggle for equal rights.

Sweden is a pretty progressive country 🇸🇪 when it comes to q***r rights, with the decriminalization of same-sex relationships in 1944 and the legalization of same-sex marriage in 2009 💍. In many places around the world however, it is still illegal to be q***r or our rights are being actively taken away 🌍.

RFSL Linköping is a volunteer-run organisation offering safe spaces 🏡 for q***r people in Linköping. They are also the ones organising LKPG Pride (May 18–23) 🗓️🌈 where you can join many different social and educational events 🎉. The week will finish with the Pride Parade and the Pride Afterparty on the 23rd 🥳🥂 (more information coming soon! 👀)

ISA is collaborating with Växteriet for a relaxing pot painting session!🪴🎨 What better way to unwind than to paint your own little pot in good company. The pots to buy are ~12 diameter but you are also free to bring your own pot if you have one sitting around that needs a glow up. Give your own plants a pretty place to grow or maybe give it as a delightful gift to a friend or family member💚

Do you want to have an unforgettable experience?😱 Then come take part in Thirsty Thursday, our biggest event of the year! In this fun drinking game event, you will be going around different stations in Ryd battling other groups to prove your glory in these amazing drinking games.

WHAT IS THIRSTY THURSDAY?
It's an evening where you and three of your friends/teammates will play against other teams in a series of drinking games 🍻 in an attempt to attain glory! 🏆 You will be provided with LOTS OF FULVIN (ugly wine) 🍷 for the entire event.

Sign up with a team of 4 people in total. You and your teammates just have to write the same team name when buying the tickets. If you don't have a team, not to fear, sign up alone and you will get assigned in a team ;)

After the event, the party doesn't stop 🔥 You can take a ride to Platens Nightclub, where we are hosting an INTERNATIONAL NIGHT party 🎊, which will put the finishing touch to your already unforgettable night 🔥 Remember to purchase your ticket as soon as possible, as we have a limited capacity.
