LiU Formula Student LiU Formula Student - The formula student association at Linköping University We are competing in Formula SAE sanctioned events, as for example Formula Student.

LiU Formula Student is a non-profit students' association at Linköpings University. At present time we consist of about 125 students, both at bachelor level as well as master level, from several different programs and grades. Closely cooperating with the local industries as well as Linköping University, LiU Formula Student annually develops and designs a competition vehicle, which we afterwards co

mpete with against other universities internationally. We have an ongoing goal to make a lasting impression in the tough competition among the participating universities, but also to self-develop - not only as engineers but as individuals as well.

Day 6: The Grand Finale at FSG! 🏁

We woke up with one goal in mind: Endurance. The anticipation built all morning until it was finally time to hit the track. Jonathan took the wheel for the first stint, laying down a solid pace, before handing it over to Laban to bring ER26 home. 🏎️💨

After 20 intense minutes of driving came the real sweat, a nail-biting 1.5-hour wait in post-scrutineering. When we finally got the green light that we passed, the relief was incredible! Cue the celebrations and endless photos with the car. 🎉📸

Even a massive evening storm rolling through the campsite couldn’t dampen our spirits. We ended an unforgettable week exactly how we wanted: celebrating together at the award ceremony.

Thank you, FSG!

Day 5! 🏁

An action-packed day from start to finish! We kicked things off by passing the final points of electrical scrutineering, sailed through driver egress, and nailed the brake test like a textbook example. To top it all off, we managed to clear the rain test, officially clearing all of scrutineering! 🌧️✅

Before lunch, we finally hit the track for our first dynamic event: Acceleration. We put down a time of 4.38 seconds, which we’re happy with. ⚡⏱️
We wrapped up the day with the AutoX event, getting four solid runs in with a best time of 86 seconds.

Seeing the car out on track performing after all the late nights feels incredible. 💪❤️

Day 4! 🏁

Today was a long grind in the accumulator tent working through our electrical issues. The hard work paid off and we managed to get it fixed, so we’re ready to continue the final scrutineering steps first thing tomorrow morning! ⚡🛠️

In between the troubleshooting, we got to watch some awesome dynamic action at the driverless acceleration and skidpad. Seeing the EV skidpad run late into the night had serious main character energy. 🏎️✨

Despite the heat, the team has handled it like lions.

Locking in for day 5. 🔒

Day 3! 🏁

We did electrical scrutineering in the morning, but unfortunately we did not have time to pass all of the points.⚡

With static events locked in for the afternoon we had to pause and shift focus, the team did great in the BPP, and the rest of the team pushed through the Engingering Design and Cost & Manufacturing event after lunch!

After that we started looking in to the last points of the electrical scruteneering.

Despite all this, we still got our team photo taken. We also continued the tradition of a Swedish meatball dinner with our friends from Lund and Chalmers. 💪❤️

Forwards to day 4!

Day 2! 🏁

We started the day strong by clearing the final points for accumulator scrutineering. With that out of the way, we pushed right into mechanical scrutineering, which we passed quickly!

Today everyone also got access to the pitlane, and we wrapped up a fantastic day by gathering for the official welcome ceremony in the evening. ✨

Seeing all the hard work pay off gives the entire team a huge boost, and the energy in the camp is strong even thru the heat. 🥵

We’re proud of the progress and ready for what’s next! 💪❤️

Day 1 of competition! 🏁
We kicked off the week by moving into our pit and getting our setup. From there, it was straight into scruteneering as we started with accumulator scruteneering. We made great progress and got almost everything checked off, with just the final details left to finish tomorrow morning. 🛠️

In the meantime, we also bled the brake system to ensure the car is completely dialed in and ready to clear mechanical inspection.

It’s been a super productive first day, and the energy in the team is right where it needs to be. We’re excited to finish off scrutineering first thing tomorrow and keep the momentum going! 💪❤️

Endurance day, the one we’d been building towards all week. 🏁

It was a hectic morning with our 09:30 start time, charging the battery and scrambling to get the car race-ready. We rolled out just in time and made it through pre-inspection. But as we lined up to roll to the start line, the car wouldn’t start. 😔

We had to roll the car back to the pits and spent the entire day troubleshooting, refusing to give up. When every other car in the starting order had completed their runs, we got one more shot and rolled back out to the track. But despite our best efforts, we weren’t able to complete the endurance event.

The result isn’t what we hoped for, but this week has taught us so much about the car and about what we can accomplish as a team. The teamwork we’ve shown under pressure this week is something we’ll carry forward and that’s invaluable. 💪❤️

Thank you FSCZ for an unforgettable competition. On to the next one! 🏎️

FS CZECH DAY 4

A day of ups and downs at FSCZ! 🌧️

After yesterday’s big wins, today reminded us why Formula Student keeps us humble. We started the morning with the rain test, which went smoothly. Next up was the brake test. We locked all four wheels on the very first attempt, but an electrical issue meant the car wouldn’t restart, so we didn’t pass on that go.

The rest of the day was spent deep in TSAC troubleshooting, which meant we unfortunately couldn’t get out on skidpad, acceleration, or autocross today. Not the day we hoped for, but the whole team pulled together, stayed heads-down, and kept pushing, that’s what this competition is all about. When the brake test window reopened after autocross, we went back and passed! 🎉

That means we’re fully cleared and ready to run endurance. Bring it on!
