Zhejiang and Sichuan provinces in China are set to welcome some of the world’s leading orienteers in October, where five races will hold IOF Gold WRE status.

The races promise strong international fields, high-level competition and an exciting opportunity to explore Chinese terrain.

Two new IOF Gold WRE events in China this autumn are set to bring some of the biggest names in international orienteering to Asia, as the cities Taizhou and Leshan prepare to host a high-profile series of races.

This year's CX80 MTBO World Cup had a nail-biting finish at the World Championships in Sweden, with Nikoline Splittorff 🇩🇰 narrowly beating Ruska Saarela 🇫🇮 after nine races during the year. The Dane's fifth overall World Cup win in a row.

In the men's event, Hannes Hnilica 🇦🇹 won comfortably after the Austrian swept the table with three wins at the European Championships in May. That's his first overall win in his second year as a senior.

Lithuania 🇱🇹 took the overall victory in the Teams World Cup with solid relay performances and the men's gold on Sunday afternoon.

Finland's women 🇫🇮 and Lithuania's men 🇱🇹 claimed the final golds of CX80 World MTBO Championships in Sunday's relays in Mora, Sweden.

Another day, another gold medal 🥇 for both Gabriella Gustafsson 🇸🇪 and Samuel Pökälä 🇫🇮 💪 at the CX80 World MTBO Championships in Sweden, where the long distance went down on Thursday.

First golds of the CX80 World MTBO Championships in Sweden went to Gabriella Gustafsson 🇸🇪 and Samuel Pökälä 🇫🇮 on Wednesday Middle distance race in Mora.

Gabriella Gustafsson SWE and Samuel Pokala FIN are the first of this year’s gold medalists, winning today’s Middle race with leads of 20 and 27 seconds respectively. Finland excelled with 6 podium placings in all.

The most prestigious international MTBO races are held in Mora, Sweden 🇸🇪 this week, when this year's World MTBO Championships, Junior World MTBO Championships and MTBO World Cup Final take place.

Mora, Sweden is the venue for four exciting races later this week in the 2026 WMTBOC. All this year’s leading riders will be competing, plus a welcome return for multi-gold medalist Emily Benham Kvåle, Norway, who last took part in 2023.
