Aaaaand the by-election is concluded! We hereby present our new Vice President with responsibility for education monitoring: Oliver Hambalek! 🎉

🎉 The Nomination Committee has nominated Oliver Hambalek for the position of Vice President with responsibility for education monitoring 26/27!

Oliver has demonstrated a strong understanding of student challenges, excellent commitment, and the ability to make structured decisions in demanding situations. With experience from several boards and a passion for representing student voices, he brings strong communication and collaboration skills to the Presidium.

Driven by a desire to leave things better than he found them, Oliver would be a valuable addition to the Student Union’s continued development. We are confident that he will contribute to positive and long-term progress for students at Halmstad University.

On June 8th, we begin the voting period with an open hearing where you can ask Oliver questions. After the hearing the digital ballot box opens, and closes at 12.00 June 10th. Only members of Halmstad Student Union have the right to vote.

Från torsdag till söndag förra veckan var jag och Oscar på SFSFUM2026 i Skövde tillsammans med Daniel Bergman (nästa kårordförande) och Ebba Axelsson Baltzarsson (PR mästare i H6)😍

Under FUM samlades ca 200 studenter från studentkårer runt om i Sverige 🫶🏻 Tillsammans representerade studentkårerna ca 400 000 studenter från 40 studentkårer🫢 Galet!

Under mötet debatterades över 70 motioner och interpellationer. Också galet! Vi valde förtroende valda till det kommande verksamhetsåret och beslutade om vilka fokusfrågor som ska gälla⭐️

Vi välkomnade även en ny studentkår in i gemenskapen💫 Välkomna och hoppas att fler ansluter🙌🏼 Tillsammans är vi starkare! Tillsammans kan vi förbättra studenters förutsättningar ✨

From Thursday to Sunday last week, Oscar and I attended SFSFUM2026 in Skövde together with Daniel Bergman (the next Student Union President) and Ebba Axelsson Baltzarsson (PR Master in H6) 😍

During FUM, around 200 students from student unions across Sweden gathered together 🫶🏻 Together, the unions represented approximately 400,000 students from 40 different student unions 🫢 Crazy!

During the meeting, more than 70 motions and interpellations were debated — also crazy! We elected representatives for the upcoming operational year and decided on the key focus issues moving forward ⭐️

We also welcomed a new student union into the community 💫 Welcome — we hope even more unions will join 🙌🏼 Together we are stronger! Together we can improve the conditions and opportunities for students ✨
