🚨 URGENT HELP NEEDED – OUR SHELTER IS NOT SAFE RIGHT NOW 🚨

A part of the wall between our property and the neighbors has collapsed, leaving a large opening. 💔

Thankfully, none of our animals were injured, and we managed to move all the dogs into a temporary yard. But this is only a temporary solution.

The dogs are now without a proper roof. They have trees and shade, but they have no protection if heavy rain or storms come. On top of that, our yard is now open, meaning anyone could enter our property.

We urgently need to repair the wall so our dogs can safely return to their secure area.

We have received an estimate:

This is an unexpected emergency expense, and we urgently need your help to make our shelter safe again.

Tomorrow is finally Kosta's turn. ❤️

For months, Kosta has been surviving on the streets, where every single day is a fight to stay alive. Every day he remains out there, he risks being poisoned or hit by a car. 💔

Tomorrow he will finally be neutered, and after his surgery, he will at last be able to move in with us. His life is about to change forever—from fear and uncertainty to safety, love, and a warm place to call home.

Our beautiful Vera has been through so much. 💔

From being abandoned on the side of the road to battling a serious tick-borne disease, life has never been easy for her.

We had finally booked an appointment to have her hips X-rayed, but due to transportation problems we had to cancel. Shortly after, Vera went into heat, which meant her spay surgery had to be postponed as well.

This Thursday, we have finally booked her spay surgery, along with three of our other dogs who have been waiting for a long time. Sadly, we simply don't have enough funds to cover the costs.

❤️ An update on our dogs ❤️

We finally have some good news regarding our dogs with eye problems.

Sofija, Casper and Dragana have all improved significantly, and thankfully, none of them need to return for another check-up at this time. ❤️

Sofija, who had eyelashes growing inward and rubbing against her eyes, may need to see the veterinarian again in the future if she develops eye problems again. For now, however, she is doing much better.

Bamse has also received treatment. His wounds have been cleaned, and he is now taking medication. He was also X-rayed to make sure that he had not been shot, as we were initially worried that this could have been the cause of his injuries. Thankfully, the X-rays showed no bullet or gunshot injury. His wounds appear to be more consistent with him having been bitten by another dog.

We are so relieved that the dogs are improving. ❤️

We have paid all of the veterinary bills, but unfortunately, this has completely emptied our account. At the same time, we have important sterilizations and castrations already booked for this week.

We cannot cancel these appointments. Sterilizations and castrations are an important part of preventing more unwanted puppies from ending up on the streets or in shelters.

So once again, we are asking for your help. ❤️

On Saturday, we finally managed to get our three dogs with serious eye problems to the veterinarian. ❤️

It was a huge relief, but our fight is far from over.

Sofija was in the worst condition. She had a deep corneal wound, and several eyelashes were growing inward, scraping against her eye with every blink. Right now, no one knows if her vision can be saved. Our hearts are breaking for her, and all we can do is hope that the treatment will work. 💔

Dragana, who previously had a foxtail removed from her eye, went back for a follow-up examination to make sure she is healing properly.

Casper also had a foxtail stuck in his eye, which was successfully removed during the visit.

All three dogs are now receiving treatment and must return to the veterinary ophthalmologist in Belgrade later this week for another examination.

Once again, we need your help.

The follow-up visit must be paid for, and if we don't manage to change the tires on the car in time, we may also have to pay for a taxi to get them there.

Every donation, no matter how small, brings these dogs one step closer to keeping their sight and living without pain.
