Come walk these rainy streets,
Follow in the footsteps of those who fought for liberation
Or those who sought to make the world forget
That they were capable of feelings, just like us
Come live different lives
In a city where it always rains
A place where Androids Dream, Pray and Die

Sign-ups are now open for the Androids Trilogy, played in July 2027 in Gothenburg, Sweden. The full trilogy will be played three times - more information on that on the website.

Sign up either to the full trilogy or only to the finale, the two day long Where Androids Die that caps the story.

There are subsidized spots available and if we manage to run three runs of the larp, there will also open up community spots that are heavily reduced in order to make the larp accessible even to those with low income.

This would not be possible without the aid of a fantastic team. So far, the leads are presented on the website, but we are incredibly grateful for everyone who has shown love, support and enthusiasm for this - now and throughout the years.

Please share this and let everyone know, and it will hopefully become a reality with community fees and all! If you want to hype together with people, join our Discord here: https://discord.gg/rxn2vTv6F

"We set out to save humanity. We set out to make us free. We succeeded, and in doing so, we made ourselves monsters."

Atropos presents the Androids Trilogy:

The Androids Trilogy is story about a noir future as imagined in the 80s, where genetically modified humans known as Androids were created to save humanity from labour and suffering. They were never meant to feel, never meant to be free - but something went wrong. Given a taste of freedom, the Androids reach for it, no matter the cost.

This is a story about hope. It is a story about resistance, about love, and about death. It explores why we excuse the worst parts of ourselves in service of our comfort and luxury, and how to break through that programming. It asks us what makes life worth living and what it is that makes us human.

The trilogy are three original larps created in 2017-2018 that heavily contributed to the building blocks of Atropos, and for our 10-year anniversary, we are running them again in the summer of 2027.

Dates:
Full trilogies: 12-17th of July, 2027 and 19th-24th of July, 2027, Only Where Androids Die: 16-17 and 23-24th of July, 2027

Where: Gothenburg, Sweden

Now, the website has been launched and the interest form is open: https://androids.atropos.se

Fill out the interest form to show interest, join us for this and make the City come alive again.

Sign-ups will open on the 16th of August at 20:00 CEST.

We hope you haven't forgotten about our call for Content to the Atrobook?

As part of our ten year anniversary next year we are planning to make a coffee table book about the projects we have made spanning the last 10 years.
In this book we hope to gather our own thoughts about our larps, larp design and art, but more importantly, we want to hear from YOU!

Whether you had a terrible time or a life altering one, your opinions and your thoughts are valuable to us.
We are not only looking for reviews or reflections. Do you have larp write ups? Art created during or in connection to the larp? Paintings, drawings, photographs, poems, novels, dairy entries in character?
Anything is of interest, because larp is not made without its participants.

Even if we are interesting in submissions connected to any of our projects we would especially love to have some more in connection to the following larps:

1912/1913
The Austen Experience
Lord of Lies
Indenture
Love & Duty
Acheron
Club Inferno
Beyone Neural Horizons
Collateral damage
7th Circle

But anything is of interest. You find the link to the submission form in the comments, deadline for submissions the 1th of october 2026

In July 2027, the larps that were the foundational stones of Atropos back in the day and took us onto the international stage, are making a return.

We are organizing Do Androids Dream, When Androids Pray and Where Androids Die as a trilogy, connected together and played in the same (but changing) set. It will be four days of larping with a day in between the first two and the last.

For many of those who know us today, they don't know what the trilogy is about, so let us tell you.

It is inspired by Blade Runner and the future as imagined in the 80s, it is about humanity and what makes life worth fighting for. It is about hope in the darkness, about clinging to meaning even when you are nothing but a machine in the eyes of the world.

Androids in this world are not actually machines. They are human beings, their DNA altered to give them a short lifespan but be fully developed and skilled workers from the moment they are born. They are owned and controlled by humans who have built an 'utopia' on the backs of their labour. Now, Androids are growing the food, working the jobs and handling all services.

It is a story about how a group of Androids break free from their genetic programming, about how they find something to believe in. How the word spreads about their innate worth and value - and how the Company-run capitalist dystopia cannot tolerate a rebellion amidst it's world-spanning labour monopoly.

It was run in 2017-2018 as three larps, each one built in two different giant blackboxes where we created a city. A living, breathing city with streets, buildings, underground clubs and a static subway, taking people from one place to another through a function of play.

For all those who believe in what we do today - we invite you to come see what we have learnt since, and to revisit our original projects.

Now, we are calling for a team to make this real. Back then, we relied on volunteers in a way we don't do much anymore, but for this to become a reality we need it. It's going to be a crazy project, we will be building the set for weeks, and we hope to make the whole process of creating it together a worthwhile one.

We want YOU to come join us for some intense weeks in June and July, starting around the 20th of June, to work alongside us and earn spots and tickets to the larps along with an experience of creating this together.

The form to send in your interest is available in the comments.

Call for content!

2017 Atropos Studios was born. 10 years, 18 larps and a lot of runs later we now are gearing up to celebrate where we came from, revisit old projects and also look ahead.
As a part of our Atro-versy we want to self-publish a book about our larps, our design philosophy and our organisation.
But we all know a larp is nothing without its participants so therefore we now invite you to be a part of our anniversary book!

If you want to we would love to hear how our larps have influenced or inspired you. Changed you or disappointed you.

Call for content is open until the 1st of October 2026

Things of interest:
- Reviews of larp experiences
- Art or poetry created during our larps or after it, inspired by your larp experience
- Testimonies to lasting impact from any of our larps
...or anything else you think would fit into a coffee table book about Atropos' different projects through the years.

Send your submissions to us through the form linked in the comments.
