2026 GoHM Update!
The 10th and last (maybe ?)
Date: 8-10 May (hopefully!)
The question on everyone's mind: is there a GoHM 2026? Answer: We hope so! We've applied to permission from Gothenburg city, and are still waiting for a response - as soon as we (fingers crossed) get it, we'll create an event!
There will be some changes compared to previous years, but we'll share everything when we know. 🐥
Spring is coming!! Go out and play! 🌸
(Now the longer part, for those who've been around forever, and want this festival to go on)

This will be the 10th time (that Allez Rombergo can count) that GoHM is held - let's make it memorable! 🥳
But also - these last few years it's become more and more difficult to run the festival: new limitations on what we're allowed to do and where we're allowed to be, more costs for insurance, more expensive permits, the need for an association, and the loss of our most wonderful sponsor (because he's left the Gothenburg nest).
GoHM was created as a fun start to the highline season - an opportunity for the Swedish community & friends to hang out, and to introduce more people to our wonderful sport.🌞
We've always been run by a very small group of volunteers, and we've never tried to make this a "major" event - so it feels silly to have to charge people to come.
But now, if we can't find a sponsor, we're looking at c. 15 000 SEK in personal costs to the organisers, And the city aren't super keen on us growing the festival more - we can't use the field nor the lake for activities anymore, and we aren't allowed to increase the number of lines we rig.
That makes it hard for yoga, fire evenings, dance evenings, longlines and waterlines.
It feels "unfair" on you guys for us to run such a small festival and have to charge for it (with our current visitor rates, we'd be looking at 100 sek per person, if we catch everyone who swings by), and we haven't had the energy to find a new generous sponsor.
- So maybe, maybe this will be the last year of GoHM in the current official format. (Occasionally we wonder if we're too tired to go on)
So if you know of a potential sponsor, or you're full of energy and want to take over running the festival for a few years - please reach out! (Everything that can be turned into easy templates, has been. And we'll hold your hand if you need!)🐥🐥
GoHM has been, and always wants to be, a friendly, accessible, free-for-all cool introduction to slacklining/highlining - and this year we'll keep that spirit!
We'll have our usual swish signs up if you feel like you can support - and maybe we'll sell cupcakes or gently-overpriced stickers to raise funds 😅
We'll let you know as soon as we have more information from the town.
Lots of slacky love,
the GoHM team xx
