Planta Panta Tree Uganda Planta panta tree is the leading organisation in sensitizing the young generation about the million importances of planting trees

The environment being one thing that we all share is in danger of de-forestation. An in-
crease in population is a threat to this fact. In Uganda alone considering a population of 18
million people 20 years ago, has today almost doubled. The majority of these people are us-
ing charcoal as a means of cooking food and that alone takes many trees. We feel an urgent
need of doing something about it.

Planta PANTA TREE is about panting or recycling all our tins and bottles and together tak
ing the money to plant more trees in Uganda and later on in other parts of Africa. An idea
came to me as I contemplated what it is we could do together as a people in the Diaspora
to regenerate funds towards the running of the many projects that are streaming into our
UNDII all the time. I for one think we are living in a new time where the world has realized that unity is the way
to a rich and well sustained society, to the extent where governments which through the
years have lost populations due to wars have now actually combined to try to solve prob-
lems as one. I believe in the slogan together we stand divided we fall
