Ayer tuvimos la alegría de subir al escenario y compartir un poco de la riqueza, el color y la energía de la cultura mexicana con todos los asistentes. 💃🎶🌵❤️

Nos sentimos muy felices y orgullosos de ver a nuestras niñas y niños representar nuestras tradiciones con tanta pasión y entusiasmo. 🌟🇲🇽

Con mucha emoción anunciamos nuestra participación en el Hammarkullekarnevalen 2026 🎭🌎🎶, uno de los festivales culturales más importantes de Göteborg 🇸🇪✨

Este próximo 30 de mayo 📅, Mexicas volverá al escenario compartiendo la fuerza 💃🏽🔥, el color 🌺 y la tradición de la danza folklórica mexicana 🇲🇽❤️💚🤍 junto a Mexicas Infantil 👧🏽🧒🏽✨

Será nuestro primer evento del año 🎊 y una presentación muy especial para toda nuestra comunidad 🫶🏽✨

Queremos dar las gracias de corazón a todas las personas que nos acompañaron y llenaron las calles de color, tradición y alegría. 🕯️🎶💃

🙏💐 Un agradecimiento muy especial a ABF Väst, al Världskulturmuseet, a la Asociación Mexicana de Gotemburgo, a Casa Piñata Ateljé & Konstskola y a todos los que colaboraron con tanto cariño para hacer posible esta hermosa celebración. 💕

🕯️🖤🌙 La Bruja: misterio, danza y tradición jarocha 🌙🖤🕯️

Continuamos con un pedacito del estado de Veracruz que llenó de magia el escenario del museo: La Bruja, uno de los sones jarochos más emblemáticos 🎶🇲🇽

Esta canción está envuelta en un toque de misterio. La figura de la bruja representa lo desconocido, los miedos de la noche y las historias que se cuentan al calor de las velas. Sin embargo, también simboliza la fuerza y el encanto de las mujeres veracruzanas, guardianas de la tradición y la alegría 💃✨

En el escenario del museo vivimos esa magia juntos: música que viaja, tradiciones que cruzan fronteras y un público que se dejó hechizar por la belleza de nuestra historia 🫶

🕯️🖤🌙 La Bruja: mystery, dance, and Jarocho tradition 🌙🖤🕯️

We continue with a little piece of Veracruz that filled the museum stage with magic: La Bruja, one of the most iconic sones jarochos 🎶🇲🇽

This song is wrapped in a veil of mystery. The figure of the bruja represents the unknown, the fears of the night, and the legends whispered beside candlelight. At the same time, she symbolizes the strength and charm of Veracruz women, guardians of joy and tradition 💃✨

On the museum stage, we felt that magic together:
music that travels, traditions that cross borders, and a wonderful audience enchanted by the beauty of our history 🫶🌍

🌟🇲🇽👧🧒🧡 Pequeñas y pequeños grandes representantes de nuestra cultura 🧡🧒👧🇲🇽🌟

Hoy toca celebrar a quienes llevarán nuestras tradiciones al futuro: las nuevas generaciones. En esta presentación del grupo Mexicas Infantil y Juvenil vimos corazones pequeñitos bailar con el alma, orgullosos de sus raíces y llenitos de ilusión 🌼✨

Cada paso, cada sonrisa y cada flor que llevaron consigo es un recordatorio hermoso de que nuestra cultura sigue viva, se transforma y crece con ellas y ellos 💃🌱

Gracias por acompañarnos a celebrar la inocencia, la alegría y el legado que estos pequeños guardianes culturales llevan en su corazón. Ellas y ellos son México en movimiento. Son el mañana hecho tradición. 🎭🌍

Today we celebrate those who will carry our traditions into the future: the new generations. In this performance by the Mexicas Children and Youth Group, we saw tiny hearts dance with soul, proud of their roots and full of hope 🌼✨

Every step, every smile, and every flower they carried was a beautiful reminder that our culture is alive, evolving, and growing with them 💃🌱

Thank you for joining us in celebrating the innocence, joy, and legacy that these young cultural guardians hold in their hearts. They are Mexico in motion. They are tomorrow made tradition. 🎭🌍

🌸💃✨ Xochipitzáhuatl: la flor que baila la vida ✨💃🌸

Continuamos un pedacito de la Huasteca mexicana a través de la Danza de Xochipitzáhuatl, conocida como la “flor menudita” en náhuatl 🌺

Este baile tradicional habla del amor más grande de todos: la unión sagrada entre el sol y la tierra para que nazca la vida 🌞🌎 Surgen flores, cosechas, esperanza y nuevas historias. Cada paso se convierte en poesía que honra la creación y la primavera eterna.

En las bodas, esta danza celebra el encuentro de dos almas que deciden caminar juntas. Los movimientos de los danzantes evocan el baile del universo, como si los astros mismos se unieran al festejo 💫💍

A veces se le asocia la palabra “pavorreal” por los trajes coloridos y adornos que recuerdan la majestuosidad de esta ave. Toda esa explosión de color representa la belleza de la naturaleza y el orgullo de nuestras raíces 🌈🦚

Este video es una ventana a esa magia: tradición viva que viaja desde México hasta Suecia para recordarnos que el amor y la vida siempre merecen celebrarse.

🌸💃✨ Xochipitzáhuatl: the flower that dances life ✨💃🌸

We continue with you a small piece of the Mexican Huasteca through the Danza de Xochipitzáhuatl, known as the “tiny flower” in Náhuatl 🌺

This traditional dance speaks of the greatest love of all: the sacred union between the sun and the earth so that life can flourish 🌞🌎 Flowers, harvests, hope, and new stories are born from that encounter. Every step becomes poetry that honors creation and the eternal spring.

During weddings, this dance celebrates the meeting of two souls who choose to walk together. The dancers’ movements evoke the dance of the universe, as if the stars themselves joined the celebration 💫💍

Sometimes the word “peacock” is associated with it because of the colorful costumes and adornments that reflect the beauty of nature and the pride of our roots 🌈🦚

This video is a window into that magic: a living tradition traveling from Mexico to Sweden to remind us that love and life are always worth celebrating.

El show de ayer arrancó con las comparsas de Xantolo, una tradición viva de la Huasteca mexicana donde la música, las máscaras y la alegría se unen para celebrar que la vida nunca se apaga 🥁👺🔥

Estas comparsas representan a los espíritus que regresan a convivir con sus seres queridos entre risas, danza y mucha vibra festiva. Es un homenaje que conecta el corazón con los que ya no están, pero siguen bailando con nosotros en cada paso 💃🕯️✨
