Find Hope Fighting Discrimination against LGBT Immigrants,and Bullying among the teenagers through Gender and Sexuality i.e.

+++ Advocating for LGBT rights in Sweden +++

Find Hope is non-profit organization that is fully registered in Sweden since 2014 in December. This was initiated by Naome Ruzindana after one year in Field at RFSL Gavleborg documenting, listening and interviewing newcomers from different countries. She decided not to sit and forget all information that she had gathered for a whole year; she therefor

e stood up and started Find Hope. The organisation focuses on defending, promoting, strengthening and creating a strong platform for youth and immigrants that are LGBTQ. Our target group range is from 13 years to 35 years, those that are young and struggling with gender and sexual orientation, struggling with coming-out, how to address it to their parents, friends and relatives. Find Hope helps immigrants that are LGBTQ who fled their respective countries because of isolation from constitution, families, relatives and friends because of their sexual orientation and gender identity issues.

+++ Our aims +++

+ General objective is to provide the youth LGBTQ, refugees that are LGBTQ, and the new Swedish Settlers with the necessary information and capacities to enable them to live the ordinary life and feel loved among the Swedish society�
+ To improve the integrated services through health, environment, and social sector�
+ To make the group focused and to concentrate on Swedish laws and regulations�
+ To recover the members’ abilities by fixing their attention and concentrating on their concrete tasks and to retain their talents in order to fit in other social sectors such as art and culture�
+ To develop cooperative strategies within the groups in order to increase their solidarity, togetherness and strengthening on their common interests and work�
+ To encourage strong cooperation between the Immigrants and the Swedish inhabitants by engaging in similar activities with other groups. mixing the different races�
+ To give voice to the voiceless and to strengthen their future plan here in Sweden

+++ Organization‘s Activities +++

+ Allocating good lawyers that are conversant with LGBTQ cases�
+ Visiting different migration camps and interview members and document their cases and addressing their issues to the migration authority�
+ Offering psycho/social support to members through engaging referrals and counsellors to help members through their trauma�
+ Visiting the detention centres and meeting members and help them to reach their lawyers�
+ Identifying friendly interpreters that are not biased during the general interviews

+++ About Naome Ruzindana +++

Naome is a Human Right Activist that has been on a forefront in Africa and served on different organisational boards. Naome is the first woman that came out openly and founded an organisation in her country Rwanda, she fought with the government, society, culture about the homosexuality issues for 11 years. Naome co-founded and was a secretary for Coalition Of African Le***an for 11 years. She also co-founded and represented the PAN ILGA africa on East Africa and Central Africa for 5 years and was co-alternate Secretary General for ILGA World for 2 years. Naome has served and will continue to serve and defend the LGBT immigrants and young people that are struggling to understand gender and sexuality.
