We encourage you to listen to the recording, as it offers valuable insights into the current situation in Sudan and the challenges faced by the Sudanese community globally.

Our recent site visits to the Mile, Touloum, Iridimi, and Oure Cassoni refugee camps, conducted alongside key community stakeholders, provided essential insights into the systemic educational challenges impacting children in Eastern Chad.

We are now positioned to mitigate these issues through the implementation of our Back to School (B2S) Program.

Our main edge is being directly connected to the community, which helps us handle tricky situations much better; we now have a solid grasp of what our donors, NGOs, and community members really care about.

For example, we held our Dignity Tournament in Touloum today, with hundreds of people showing up.

It is all about boosting the dignity of refugees and people in general. Plus, the event is specifically designed to help young people heal from trauma, loneliness, and overthinking.

This tournament means so much to these young refugees, bringing hope and resilience, which we can see in the eyes of these young people and their questions.

🏆 The Dignity Cup 2026 — More Than Football, It Is About Human Dignity.

Yesterday was a special and meaningful moment for us. Our CEO, Abdelrahim Moussa Hassan, received the Dignity Cup from our first sponsor, The Mighty Cosmos Football Club in Östersund, Sweden.

This is more than receiving a trophy. It is the beginning of a journey that will bring hope, unity, and opportunities to young refugees in Eastern Chad. Soon, the Cup will travel from Sweden to Eastern Chad, where it will become a symbol of dignity, dreams, and the power of young people to bring positive change to their communities.

From 11–22 October 2026, 20 football teams from five refugee camps across three regions in Eastern Chad will compete for the Dignity Cup. The tournament will start in Milé Refugee Camp and conclude in Aboutengue Refugee Camp.

Behind every team, there are young people with dreams, talents, and stories. Some have grown up facing displacement, uncertainty, and hardship. But they also have hope, courage, and the desire to build a better future. Through football, we want to give them a space to feel included, develop their talents, build friendships, and remind the world that refugees are not defined by their circumstances, but by their potential.

⚽ Our dream does not stop in 2026.

In 2027, we aim to expand the tournament to approximately 200 football teams. The plan is to begin with competitions within the refugee camps, followed by regional competitions where winning teams will meet to compete for the ultimate Dignity Cup.

Our ambition is not simply to organise a football competition. We want to create a movement that promotes human dignity, refugee rights, health, protection, education, peaceful coexistence, and opportunities for young people.

Our partners bring this vision to life through their shared values:

- The Mighty Cosmos: “NOT ONLY FOOTBALL”
- Sudan Volunteer Organization (SVO): “Refugee-for-Refugee”
- Long Walk for Freedom (LWOF): “Dignified Education”

We sincerely thank The Mighty Cosmos, Long Walk for Freedom, and UNHCR Chad, together with all our donors, sponsors, and supporters, for believing in the potential of refugee communities and helping us turn this dream into action.

For us at SVO, Refugee-for-Refugee means standing together, supporting one another, and creating opportunities from within our own communities.

Because every young person deserves the chance to dream. Every child deserves dignity. And every refugee deserves to be seen beyond their displacement.

🏆 The Dignity Cup 2026 — One Cup, Many Dreams, One Shared Humanity.
