Project Coordinator
Position Title: Project Coordinator
Location: Main office (Port Sudan/Khartoum)
Contract Type and Duration: Full-time fixed contract; 12 months, with possibility of extension
Position Grade: B1 (Salary range USD 1,600 – USD 2,220)
Reporting to: Program Manager

Background
Anhar for Peace, Development and Humanitarian Work Organization (APDHWO) is
implementing multi-sectoral humanitarian interventions across Sudan. To ensure effective,
accountable, and high-quality project delivery, Anhar seeks to engage a Projects Coordinator
supporting both program coordination and technical implementation of Anhar interventions.
Position Summary
The Projects Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day project implementation,
ensuring alignment with approved Detailed Implementation Plans (DIPs), and supporting quality
reporting, monitoring, and compliance.
In parallel, the staff will support in leading the planning, implementation, and technical oversight
of various Anhar interventions.
Key Responsibilities
A. Project Coordination & Implementation
• Coordinate day-to-day project implementation in line with approved DIPs and workplans
• Ensure activities are implemented on time, within scope, and aligned with donor requirements
• Maintain close follow-up with field teams to ensure progress and quality delivery
• Track implementation against targets and timelines
B. Reporting & Documentation
• Draft and contribute to high-quality project reports (internal and donor)
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of reported data
• Maintain organized project documentation and filing systems
• Incorporate feedback from supervisors to improve reporting quality
C. Coordination & Representation
• Attend coordination meetings (cluster, partner, internal) as required

• Ensure timely follow-up on action points from meetings
• Support internal and external coordination with partners and stakeholders
• Share updates and ensure consistent communication across teams
D. Protection mainstreaming
• Ensure integration of:
• Protection mainstreaming
• Gender-based violence (GBV) considerations
• Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP)
• Support development of protection strategies, tools, and approaches
• Ensure safe, ethical, and inclusive programming
E. Monitoring, Risk Management & Compliance
• Monitor implementation progress and highlight risks, delays, or challenges proactively
• Ensure compliance with donor, organizational, and sector standards
• Support corrective actions and adaptive management
• Maintain strong attention to detail and accuracy in all deliverables
F. Team Support & Supervision
• Provide structured support and follow-up to field teams
• Ensure clarity of tasks, timelines, and expectations
• Promote a collaborative and accountable team environment
• Demonstrate increased ownership and leadership over time, especially during probation
G. Proposal Development
• Contribute to proposal writing and project design
• Support development of logframes, budgets, and technical narratives
• Ensure lessons learned are incorporated into new proposals

Qualifications & Experience
• Degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related field
• 3-5 years experience in NGOs and donor-funded projects
• Experience in Protection programming is highly desirable
• Strong skills in report writing, coordination, and communication
