With thousands of people supporting our Petition across the world, we continue to campaign for the immediate release of ALL Armenian POWs held illegally in Azerbaijan and urge once again to:

• immediately end all trials of Armenian POWs held without proper representation and without possibility to speak with family or human rights organizations without surveillance;

• demand the immediate and unconditional release of ALL Armenian POWs and captives held unlawfully in Azerbaijan after the end of hostilities, which violates Article 8 of the Ceasefire Statement and III Geneva Convention relative to the Treatment of POWs;

• obtain the full list of ALL Armenian POWs and captives, including names of women and civilians, and all deceased hostages in Azerbaijani detention;

• sanction Azerbaijani government led by President Aliyev for war crimes, and for ignoring international laws, the United Nations Convention on Human Rights, and III Geneva Convention on
POWs.

Les tensions entre le gouvernement arménien et l’Église apostolique arménienne ont été évoquées à l’Assemblée parlementaire du Conseil de l’Europe. Le député britannique Edward Leigh a dénoncé des pressions exercées, selon lui, contre l’Église et le Catholicos Garéguine II, estimant que l’État cherche à intervenir dans les affaires internes de l’Église.

La députée du parti au pouvoir Hripsimé Grigoryan a rejeté ces accusations, affirmant que le gouvernement cherche au contraire à protéger l’Église. Elle a également évoqué les procédures judiciaires visant plusieurs responsables religieux et des accusations liées à des projets de déstabilisation de l’État.

Le procès de Bagrat Galstanian et de ses coaccusés étant toujours en cours, aucune décision définitive n’a encore été rendue. Les éléments présentés devant le tribunal sont contestés et que les accusations de terrorisme restent à établir par la justice.

🆘🆘🆘🆘Free Armenian hostages in Azerbaijan !!!

Aux côtés de 24 responsables politiques, j’ai signé dans Le Figaro un appel à la libération des prisonniers arméniens détenus en Azerbaïdjan.

Vingt d’entre eux ont été condamnés à de lourdes peines, certains à la réclusion à perpétuité. La plupart ont été arrêtés en 2023, d’autres sont détenus depuis la guerre de 2020.

Depuis des années, ils sont aux mains de leurs geôliers, séparés de leurs familles. Nous demandons qu’ils soient libérés immédiatement.
