IEEE Student Branch in University of Khartoum Members rely on IEEE as a source of technical and professional information, resources and services.

The IEEE formed in 1963 with the merger of the AIEE (American Institute of Electrical Engineers, formed in 1884), and the IRE (Institute of Radio Engineers, formed in 1912)

The IEEE name was originally an acronym for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. Today, the organization's scope of interest has expanded into so many related fields, that it is simply referred to by the letters I-E-E-E (pronounced Eye-triple-E). Through its global membership, IEEE is a leading authority on areas ranging from aerospace systems, computers and telecommunications to biomedical engineering, electric power and consumer electronics among others. To foster an interest in the engineering profession, IEEE also serves student members in colleges and universities around the world. Other important constituencies include prospective members and organizations that purchase IEEE products and participate in conferences or other IEEE programs. IEEE is the world’s largest professional advancing innovation and technological excellence for the benefit of humanity. IEEE and its members inspire a global com-munity to innovate for a better tomorrow through its highly cited publications, conferences, techno-logy standards, and professional and educational activities. IEEE is the trusted “voice” for engineering, computing, and information technology around the globe.

* Technical Team | اللجنة التقنية

توفّر اللجنة التقنية الدعم الفني لفعاليات الفرع الحضورية والافتراضية، وتدير الموارد الرقمية وتسجيلات الفعاليات، وتساهم في تطوير موقع الفرع الإلكتروني.

* Media Team | اللجنة الإعلامية

تدير اللجنة الإعلامية حضور الفرع الإعلامي وتصنع المحتوى الذي يعكس هويته، وتشرف على التصاميم والفيديوهات ومنصات التواصل الاجتماعي، وتنفّذ الحملات الإعلامية والتعاونات مع الرعاة.

* Programs Team | لجنة البرامج

تخطط لجنة البرامج وتنظّم البرامج والفعاليات غير الأكاديمية لتنمية المهارات القيادية وروح الفريق، وتطوّر مبادرات جديدة وتتابع تنفيذها وتقييمها.

The Technical Team provides technical support for the branch's in-person and virtual events, manages digital resources and event recordings, and helps develop and maintain the branch's website.

* Media Team

The Media Team manages the branch's media presence, creates content across designs, videos, and social platforms, and runs media campaigns and sponsor collaborations.

* Programs Team

The Programs Team plans and runs the branch's non-academic programs to build leadership skills and teamwork, developing new initiatives and following up on their ex*****on and evaluation.

- Public Relations Team | لجنة العلاقات العامة

تختص لجنة العلاقات العامة ببناء وتعزيز علاقات الفرع مع الرعاة والشركاء والجهات الخارجية، والعمل على توسيع شبكة علاقاته وفرص التعاون معه. كما تهتم اللجنة بالحفاظ على صورة مهنية وإيجابية للفرع، وتنسيق التواصل الخارجي ومتابعة الشراكات والمهام اللوجستية المرتبطة بها، بما يعزز حضور الفرع ويفتح المجال أمام فرص جديدة للتعاون.

- Scientific Team | اللجنة العلمية

تختص اللجنة العلمية بتعزيز البيئة الأكاديمية والبحثية داخل الفرع، من خلال تنظيم الورش والجلسات العلمية والبرامج التدريبية والزيارات الميدانية. كما تهتم بدعم المشاريع والمبادرات البحثية، ومتابعة ومشاركة الفرص الأكاديمية والتدريبية، وإدارة المكتبة والموارد العلمية للفرع، إلى جانب التعاون مع بقية اللجان لتوفير المحتوى والدعم العلمي عند الحاجة.

- Public Relations Team

The Public Relations Team is responsible for building and strengthening the branch’s relationships with sponsors, partners, and external organizations, while expanding its network and opportunities for collaboration. The team also works to maintain a professional and positive image of the branch, coordinate external communication, and follow up on partnerships and related logistical tasks, helping strengthen the branch’s presence and create new opportunities for collaboration.

- Scientific Team

The Scientific Team is responsible for fostering an academic and research-oriented environment within the branch through organizing scientific workshops, sessions, training programs, and field visits. The team also supports research projects and initiatives, shares and follows up on academic and training opportunities, and manages the branch’s library and scientific resources. In addition, it collaborates with other teams to provide scientific content and support when needed.
