🔍 Introduction to Cochrane: Contribute to Global Health Evidence, One Screening at a Time

Cochrane produces some of the most rigorous systematic reviews and evidence syntheses in global health — pulling together findings from RCTs and other studies to answer the questions that guide clinical practice and policy worldwide.

A key part of that process is screening: sifting through thousands of studies to identify which ones are relevant, well-designed, and ready to inform a review. That’s where Cochrane Crowd and Cochrane Classmate come in — giving everyone a real way to contribute to this work, screening and classifying studies alongside a global community of volunteers.

Join InciSioN Sudan for an introduction to how it all works, and how you can get involved.

This collaboration marks an exciting milestone in our shared commitment to advancing global surgery, perioperative education, research, mentorship, and advocacy.

Together, TORG and InciSioN Sudan will work to strengthen research capacity, develop sustainable initiatives, expand educational opportunities, support emerging healthcare professionals, promote collaborative research, and foster innovation for students, trainees, and healthcare professionals in Sudan and beyond.

Across both countries, millions still face barriers to essential surgery due to shortages in workforce, infrastructure, equipment, training opportunities, & equitable access to care. From rural communities to overcrowded urban hospitals, the gaps are real, but so is the potential for change!
