All parents, teachers and guardians present agree that the Patient Solidarity Jamboree today was a huge success. It was an excellent activity, the children say.
Some 73 children and 25 adults turned up. The goal of encouraging children to drink water and eat fruits while they do strenuous physical activity was completely met.
Participants had some 300 bottles of water to drink or take home along with some 14 cartons of fresh fruits. No one went thirsty or hungry. Patient Solidarity reinforced the message that healthy hydration and nutrition can be both satisfying and enjoyable.

Patient Solidarity gave gifts to hospitalized children today in celebration of Children’s Day, as part of its ongoing drive to promote health and wellbeing. The toys were generously donated by members of the public during a toy appeal held at the STC hypermarket in December 2025. Today’s event marked the second time children in hospital have received gifts from that appeal.

The initiative brought smiles to dozens of young patients, helping to ease the stress of hospital stay on a day when children traditionally celebrate with other children. A spokesperson for Patient Solidarity, Ms Chantal Melanie, said, "Seeing the children's joy reminds us why community support matters. Patient Solidarity will continue to promote holistic well-being for all age groups in all circumstances of life."

Passionate about healthy nutrition, more than 20 women from the central region of Mahe, turned up today for the second of the two empowering workshops. The pictures taken today at the English River Secondary School during the healthy cooking workshop speak for themselves. Patient Solidarity thanks the Principal, Mrs Payet, for kindly lending us two of the school's classrooms.
