Nicole has been an inspiration to our seagrass conservation efforts.

She’s been on the ground and in the field teaching kids about the wonders of “zerb lanmer”.

Thank you Ms Nicole for all of the work you’ve put in. We’re sure you’ve left your mark!

🌿💙 Happy World Seagrass Day! 💙🌿

Beneath Seychelles’ turquoise waters lies one of our most powerful natural habitats, seagrass meadows!

🌱 Seychelles has an incredible 1,599 km² of seagrass meadows. That’s roughly 224,000 soccer fields!
🌱 99% of our seagrass meadows are found in the outer islands
🌱 Praslin is home to the most diverse seagrass meadows (7 species recorded around Baie Ste Anne)
🌱 Two species — Thalassodendron ciliatum & Thalassia hemprichii — dominate our waters

Today, we celebrate and commit to protecting the ecosystems that protect us. 🌊
