Taking this time to thank madam Yvonne Tu'ata for providing a timely training (08th - 19th December , 2025) on A.C.E Phonics for our homeschooling providers, primary students and parents (53 participants) at home - Bellona Island.
Reading continues to be a vital skill for our livelihood.
In short - when a community takes ownership of reading, learning reaches far beyond isolation and lasts a lifetime.
It is not just sounding words - it is understanding, questioning and connecting. A child who reads gains a voice, a reader understands the world.
Thank you each and everyone of you who made this opportunity a count.

Welcome to the Peacebuilding Garden Initiative with Mataiho Adventist Primary School, Bellona Island, Renbel Province.

Nestled in the heart of our beautiful island of Bellona, is the Peacebuilding Garden at Mataiho Adventist Primary School stands as a symbol of hope, unity and renewal. It is a special space where students, teachers and community members come together to plant peace, nurture relationships and harvest understanding.

Every seed sown here carries a prayer for a better future. Every leaf that rises from the soil speaks of care, cooperation and the strength of our shared journey. Rooted in God's love and guided by the values of respect, humility, and service.

we thank you for the privilege of working alongside you all.

This garden is a symbol of what we can do together in love and peace.

Peacebuilding is vital now and Y E.S organisation is working alongside Honiara Senior High School (HSHS) to influence students to realise that it is a choice to be a peacebuilder that will in return foster cooperation, empathy, and conflict resolution skills. With skills and tools acquired, there is the choice of each one to navigate complex personal and social issues, promote tolerance and create ripple effect of positive change in their school, classrooms, communities and beyond.

The module created for high school students on Personal Development, Peacebuilding and SMART Goal setting is essential for high school students as it helps them set clear goals, build resilience, and develop emotional intelligence.
It equip them with conflict resolution, promotes mental well-being, and foster a culture of responsibility and inclusivity.
These sessions prepare students for future success by enhancing decision making, adaptability, and teamwork while encouraging a positive, purpose-driven mindset.
It was delivered through dialogue, pre and post questionnaires, conflict tree personal analysis, circle of courage, ABL Fun games mentoring and supporting frameworks for emotional intelligence.
Teachers an students, we need to create a culture of connection: Foster a great sense of belonging and shift out from the Fitting in mode that continues to devalue our schools.
When we continue to add value to our schools, we create a conducive environment where learners will thrive with confidence and clarity. 🙏😍.

Personal Development, Peacebuilding and S.M.A R.T Goal setting support sessions with students at Honiara High Senior School opened a new path for the students in regards to self worth discovery.
The simple module was piloted at Honiara High Senior School for two weeks and it was a worthy journey. Looking forward to working alongside Honiara High Senior School next term. .

Thank you to the School Principal, administration, Language Department, Form Six, Form Five and Four students for the trust and opportunity.
