There will be motu foods, soups, and a variety of other local foods for sale.

Come along and support our youth ministry and enjoy some delicious local food.

📢 We would like to share an important update with you all 📢.

Following approval from our leaders’ meeting, our congregation will be launching a Cyclone Disaster Relief Initiative to support those affected by Cyclone Maila in Choiseul and Western Provinces.

This initiative aims to gather both goods and financial contributions to assist our brothers and sisters in Christ during this difficult time.
We invite all members who are able and willing to contribute in any way they can.

The program began with the opening of the Youth Ministry on Sunday, 1st March 2026, led by Pastor Charlie Bird. Speaking from Romans 12:1–2, Pastor Bird delivered a sermon centered on the theme of transformation, encouraging young people to offer their lives fully to God and allow Him to renew their minds. He reminded the youth that true transformation is not simply attending church, but allowing God’s Word to shape their thoughts, attitudes, and actions.

Following the opening service, the ministry continued its activities with the official launch of the Youth Ministry’s 2026 theme on 8 March 2026, led by Rev. Kendrick Kasa.
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐢𝐬:
“𝑩𝒆 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒆𝒅, 𝑹𝒐𝒐𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒏 𝑮𝒐𝒅’𝒔 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒅, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑮𝒓𝒐𝒘 𝒊𝒏 𝑭𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑮𝒐𝒅’𝒔 𝑴𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏.”
During the launch, Rev. Kasa emphasized that the Christian journey begins with personal transformation through Christ, as highlighted in Romans 12:1–2. He encouraged young people to allow God to renew their minds daily so that their lives reflect Christ in both character and action.
Rev. Kasa also stressed the importance of being rooted in God’s Word, noting that just as a tree with deep roots can withstand storms, believers who are grounded in Scripture will remain strong even in times of challenge and discouragement.

Furthermore, he reminded the youth that faith grows through hearing and meditating on God’s Word, and through life’s trials, which strengthen trust in God. Growth in faith requires patience, commitment, and a willingness to step out of one’s comfort zone.

Rev. Kasa concluded by reminding the youth that transformation, spiritual grounding, and growth in faith ultimately lead to participation in God’s mission. “We are saved not only to believe but also to serve,” he said, encouraging young people to actively take part in the work of God within their communities and churches.
The launch of the 2026 theme sets the direction for the Lauru Youth Ministry’s programs and activities throughout the year, with the aim of equipping and inspiring young people to grow spiritually and serve faithfully in God’s mission.
