To the Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Secretary of KLDA, kindly prepare the agenda for the forthcoming meeting. It is essential to determine the venue and timing of the meeting. As proposed, the KLDA committee, along with the Chairmen of all settlements, as well as the engaged youth, men, and women from the Kolina community and beyond, are encouraged to participate. Additionally, we extend an invitation to the priests of Kolina who are available, as they serve as advisors to the KLDA.

Concerning the suggestion put forth by the assistant chairman of the association regarding the establishment of a WhatsApp group, I would like to express my complete support for this suggestion. I am confident that a group has already been created. Please download the WhatsApp application on your phone, access it, and accept the invitation. Additionally, I encourage us to invite others who have not yet joined the chat group. See attached below our WhatsApp group.

I have selected the following individuals to serve on our Community Disaster Committee (CDC).
Presiding Officer: Jimson Nonile, Secretary: Wilson Tovo, and Committee Members: For Kolina 1: Daniel Sade and Derick Lepokae; For Kolina 2: Misael Velu and Saela; For Kolina 3: Norman Desta, Porochu, and Wisley Sade; For Kolina Popoloi: Mauli and Nickolas; For Kolina St Paul: John Taka, Jonathan Sake, John Ramo, Mosten Timo, Samuel Saridi, and Mr. Hillary Bakaseko.

I am merely proposing these individuals, but if you wish to make any modifications by adding or replacing someone on the list, you are welcome to do so. This list is not definitive; it is intended to provide you with an idea of who might be suitable for the committee.

To the esteemed members of KLDA, regarding the post I shared last week about establishing a community Disaster Committee, I have yet to receive any response from the chairman and the board of KLDA. As we are all aware, weather events or disasters are natural occurrences that can strike at any moment; therefore, it is imperative that we take initiative and engage in positive action. We must establish this CDC so that the committee can fulfill its responsibilities when a disaster occurs.

If you tuned into the radio program this morning, you would have heard that Guadalcanal Province has formed a Provincial Disaster Organizing Committee to support the residents of Guadalcanal during times of disaster. The Government has its own ministry, the NDMO office, which is responsible for managing and addressing situations involving infrastructure, food gardens, buildings, and loss of human life.

So, my esteemed members of KLDA, what are we waiting for? It is time for us to unite and engage in dialogue to establish this committee.

Good morning everyone,
I would like to present this idea to all of us. The proposal is for the KLDA to establish a group within itself, to be named the COMMUNITY DISASTER COMMITTEE. This committee would be tasked with overseeing the community during times of disaster. The team would be responsible for providing information, ensuring safety, delivering ongoing updates, offering care, and maintaining the general security of the community. They would have the authority to contact the NDMO office regarding the needs of the people following a disaster or to update the NDMO office about the current situation in the community if assistance is required.

I would appreciate your feedback on this idea.
