𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐈 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭
The Network Breakfast for Media was a valuable opportunity to reflect on journalism’s role in keeping the Pacific informed about sustainable fisheries and broader ocean-related issues that impact our livelihoods.

Speakers included Niue Prime Minister Hon. Dalton Tagelagi, Pacific Islands Forum Secretary General Mr. Baron Waqa, MASI President Mr. Ofani Eremae, and SIBC CEO Mr. Johnson Honimae. Discussions reinforced the critical role of media in fostering public understanding and engagement, as well as the need for journalists to have a strong grasp of fisheries issues to report accurately and effectively.

The event also highlighted the East New Britain Initiative (ENBi), which focuses on sustainable ocean management and economic development in the region.

A big thank you to Lisa Williams-Lahari for facilitating this important network with our Pacific leaders.
