๐Ÿ“ฃThe IPCC Scholarship Programme is now open for applications!

This programme is designed for doctoral degree students who have been enrolled for one year, as well as those conducting post-doctoral research in climate change or related fields including:
๐ŸŒฑ Living soils, biodiversity, regenerative viticulture, agroforestry, water management, Indigenous Knowledge Systems and terrestrial carbon cycle.

๐Ÿ’ฐ Funding: Up to โ‚ฌ15,000 per year for 2 years (2025-2027)
๐ŸŒŽ Eligibility: Open to students from developing countries, with priority for those from Least Developed Countries & Small Island Developing States.

๐ŸŒ Pacific Leaders: A Call for Regional Projects is currently open! ๐ŸŒฑ
We invite national and local public authorities in the 18 eligible Pacific Islands Countries and Territories to apply for funding to support Nature-based Solutions for climate change adaptation.
๐ŸŽฏ Our Call for regional projects is open until December 15, 2024.
โžก๏ธ Active involvement of national/local public authorities and institutions from design to implementation, (and evaluation if possible) is required for eligibility;
โžก๏ธ Particular attention will be given to projects submitted by national authorities and/or projects in which national authorities play an active role in implementation;
โžก๏ธ Projects led by regional or international organizations must demonstrate their clear alignment and their contribution to the implementation of relevant national and local policies (on climate change adaptation and biodiversity conservation but not only), and must involve local stakeholders.
๐ŸŒThis is a great chance to support projects that could reshape communities and safeguard the Pacific's future. Your involvement in submitting and implementing NbS projects is crucial for their success and lasting impact.

A PhD scholarship is being offered for a research student to develop knowledge on the information ecologies of SPREP and its member countries, with a focus on understanding how โ€˜factsโ€™ are translated from institutional and expert contexts to the public sphere. Specifically, the research student will consider how a โ€˜fact bankโ€™ can effectively enhance journalistic practice, collaborating with journalists to ensure that resources are fit for purpose.
Interested applicants should send an email expressing their interest along with scanned copies of their academic transcripts, CV, a brief statement of their research interests and a proposal that specifically links them to the research project. The deadline for expressions of interest is 08 September 2024.
