Mr France Qiuna is an outstanding young Community Facilitator from the Animeko Community-Based Fisheries Management (CBFM) initiative in Beiporo Community.

As an emerging conservation leader, Francis recently assisted in co-facilitating the Fish Tool process to support the development of a CBFM Management Plan for the Soni Clan Association in the Russell Islands.

His active participation demonstrates the value of youth leadership and peer-to-peer learning in strengthening community-based resource management. Through his dedication and willingness to share knowledge, Francis continues to make a meaningful contribution to sustainable fisheries management and community conservation efforts in the Solomon Islands.

WWF Solomon Islands is proud to support young leaders like Francis as they build the skills and experience needed to safeguard marine resources for future generations.

The journey of young Rockjay Bukiri - Olaguala Jay (SVTA Head Ranger) continues as he joins the WWF Solomon Islands team on a field expedition to the Russell Islands to conduct baseline biological monitoring in Ta Island, a new community partner site.

This opportunity provides Rockjay with valuable hands-on experience in marine and coastal biodiversity monitoring, data collection, and community engagement. As he continues to grow professionally, his involvement in this important fieldwork reflects WWF Solomon Islands' commitment to nurturing the next generation of conservation leaders and practitioners.

We wish Rockjay all the best as he continues his learning journey and contributes to conservation efforts that support both people and nature in the Solomon Islands. 🏝️
