Recent joint research conducted by Mai-Maasina Green Belt (MMGB) and Jubilee Australia Research Centre on 'Culture and Land' was officially launched.

The report ‘Sustaining Culture and Land- Why East Kwaio Communities have resisted logging’ highlighted communities’ insights on their cultural, spiritual and livelihood interconnectedness relationship with Land as sovereignty hence their stance on logging operations. In Solomon Islands, particularly Malaita Province, large scale logging operations has adversely impacted local communities and the environment.

MMGB acknowledges the partnership and valuable contributions towards launching this significant report.
