Yet today, 85% of Filipino learners in Grades 1–3 are struggling readers, and only 15% read at grade level, based on the July 2025 assessment of the Second Congressional Commission on Education (EDCOM 2).

Protecting little lives while celebrating our traditions ❤💛

Today, during Sakay Sakay sa Balingasag 2026, the League of Young Catalysts proudly supported the launch of CHIKITING LUWAS (Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity) led by RHU Balingasag, with the strong support of LGU Balingasag.

Free immunization was made available for children aged 6 months to 59 months, with multiple stations set up across the celebration—bringing health services closer to the people, where the community gathers.

A healthier Balingasag starts with protecting our children. 💉👶✨
