The Father Emir is gone. Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, who died on Sunday at the age of 74, leaves behind a legacy that transformed Qatar from a little-known Gulf state into a nation of global significance. By many worldly measures, his achievements were remarkable: he oversaw unprecedented economic growth, expanded education, strengthened diplomacy, and positioned Qatar as an influential voice on the international stage.

Yet from an Islamic perspective, the true measure of a person’s life is not found in wealth, influence, or political success alone. Leadership is an amānah (trust), and every leader will stand before Allah to account for how that trust was fulfilled. Kingdoms rise and fall, economies flourish and fade, but only deeds done with sincere faith, justice, and compassion endure in the sight of Allah.

The Qur’an reminds us: “Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you” (49:13). No amount of worldly achievement can replace taqwā, just as no worldly limitation diminishes the value of a righteous soul.

As Muslims, we acknowledge Sheikh Hamad’s contributions to his country while recognizing that the final judgment of every human being belongs to Allah alone. We neither exaggerate praise nor pass judgment on his ultimate fate. Instead, we pray that Allah forgives his shortcomings, accepts whatever good he accomplished, grants him His mercy, and rewards him according to His perfect justice.

May Allah have mercy on the deceased, forgive his sins, and make his meeting with Him one of peace. Indeed, to Allah we belong, and to Him we shall all return.

Qurbani 2026 Project Successfully Completed! 🐑🌍

In partnership with the Human Development Fund (HDF) have successfully delivered the Qurbani 2026 Project across The Gambia, Senegal, and Mauritania.

What began as a plan to serve 600 beneficiaries expanded significantly after field assessments revealed greater community needs.

As a result, livestock allocations were increased, allowing the project to reach over 820 vulnerable beneficiaries with fresh 2-4kg meat packages during Eid al-Adha.

Despite logistical and cultural challenges, local slaughtering and distribution ensured freshness, dignity, and timely support for families in need. The project also received strong community and institutional support.

820+ lives reached.
Three countries served.
One mission: Sharing hope, compassion, and the spirit of Eid. ❤️
