استقبل وفدًا نرويجيًا ضم المبعوث الخاص للنرويج لدى السودان إندري ستيانسن، وكبيرة المستشارين بوزارة الخارجية النرويجية إيدل هامري، وسفيرة مملكة النرويج لدى المملكة العربية السعودية كيرستي ترومسدال، والسكرتير الثاني بالسفارة هيليار هافنس، حيث التقى الوفد د. محمد السبيطلي رئيس برنامج الدراسات الإفريقية بالمركز.
كما زار الوفد النرويجي متحف الفيصل للكتاب والصنائع العربية الإسلامية ومعرض «أسفار»، واطّلع على عدد من المبادرات والمشروعات التي ينفذها المركز في مجالات البحث والمعرفة وصون التراث العربي والإسلامي.
received a Norwegian delegation that included Norway’s Special Envoy to Sudan, Endre Stiansen; Senior Adviser at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Eidel Hamre; Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Saudi Arabia, Kjersti Tromsdal; and Second Secretary at the Embassy, Heljar Havnes. During the visit, the delegation met with Dr. Mohamed Al-Sbitli, Head of the Center’s African Studies Program.
The delegation also visited Al Faisal Museum of the Book and Arabo-Islamic Sanāi and the Asfār Exhibition, where they were introduced to a number of the Center’s initiatives and projects in the fields of research, knowledge, and the preservation of Arab and Islamic heritage.
